So if you were wrong about your certainty regarding what factor drugs did/didn't play in the case how is it you are so easily clinging to the certainty race couldn't be involved?

Going by the same info that says drug were not involved it also says race was not a factor.

I'm getting it all from the same place. So either the report is wrong and drugs and race could have been factors or its right and neither were.

I was wrong. I thought I heard during proceeding that drugs were involved. It was years ago and I was not into the case.

Those all were relevant to me and or a response thread.

I did not care about following a local carjacking/murder.

As long as there are poor people or just plain evil people there will be those types of things. I actually help the community to address the causes.

I completely disagree. I think too many people in this country are truly scared to call people what they really are and it leads people to think it's acceptable to say and do the things that we see going on in this country right now, especially with race relations.

But are those things racist? And when they are who is perpetuating them?

Many things called racist have nothing to do with real racism, they are simply prejudices if which we all have. Many of them have nothing to do with race. I can make an equally valid argument that a very high percentage of AA are racist. But that isn't completely accurate, some absolutely do believe they are superior because of their race which is what a racist really is, but most of those are simply prejudiced, just like the vast majority of white people many consider or call racist are simply prejudiced.

Is an uncomfortable conversation to have because we are all prejudiced but the word racist has been thrown so liberally for any indication of slight that people aren't comfortable coming together to discuss it which is the only way to get past those prejudices. Whether you agree or not you are the biggest hurdle to getting through this by mislabelling prejudice as racist. They aren't the same thing.
