Mason was fired because he had a losing record at Vanderbilt. Not because he was black. IMO, he was kept on a year longer than he should have been because he WAS black. After a 3 - 9 record in 2019 he’d would have been fired if he was white. But then again, it’s Vandy , 4 - 8 is a very successful season for them
