It is kinda the point of this nation. Many of the groups that came here were treated like crap, and many didnt fair too much better here. Especially at first.

Look at what Lincoln did with the Irish. Trying to escape several hundreds years of British oppression welcome to America you're drafted to fight.

With the dems back in power, expect to see more of it. That was one of the best things about the Trump years - the SJWs got shoved into the closet. Now they're gonna be on the prowl all over again. Damn shame there's not an SJW hunting season.

You mean like when Lincoln kissed the Irish flag and said “God bless the Irish?”

Were the Irish kidnapped, sold like livestock and put into forced labor.
Come on, let’s at least be honest about what happened in this country. Yes, other groups were discriminated against, but it pales in comparison.

Lincoln knew that and I don’t think he’s evil for recognizing the future problems that would result. I think he’d be shocked that a little more than a hundred years later, blacks would be integrated and we’d have a black two term president elected by a overwhelmingly white populous.

How would you say Lincoln knew they "couldnt" integrate? Could he see the future or was he making a racist assumption based on his beliefs that the freed people were somehow so inferior they could never adapt.

I do know about Cromwell, but I don’t know for what reason you are referencing him.

It seems to me that you are trying to play down chattel slavery with an “everyone done it” mentality.
History had a cost and we’re still paying it. The treatment of African slaves is far more egregious as a whole than anything else, save the treatment of indigenous natives. I really wasn’t saying anymore than that, so I’m not sure why your panties seem in a wad.

Not playing it down. I have said multiple times it's the worst thing this country has done. Even said it's probably unforgivable.

If you are wanting to hold up Lincoln you also might not want to look into his treatment of natives too. If you are PC there is plenty of reasons to remove lincoln. And what the PC culture has said is it doesnt matter how much good you did as long as there is some bad. And that chicken is coming home to roost.
