That's racist!

Is it even a serious question? Should I have voted for the candidate who openly debates if systematic racism exists? A shadow friend of white supremacists and the party of the confederate flag?

P.S. - You're out of your damn mind. You're excusing Biden because his political ideology agrees with your own. Stop being a mindless sheep and take off your blinders. Yes, Donald Trump is an obnoxious ass hole. I totally agree with that. That doesn't make Biden some kind of damn hero. He's part of the corrupt system that has ran this country for decades, if not longer. And it doesn't excuse his past racist comments.

You really need to catch up.

Not at all.
Neither was the perfect candidate, however Biden has clearly made black people a stronger priority than Trump. Even you don’t debate me there.

Made black people a stronger priority? Forgive me, I understand the stance of BLM and what it's supposed to mean, but the POTUS should make all American lives a priority. This isn't the same as someone saying "All lives matter" and ignoring the history of racism in this country, even though, all lives DO matter. We're talking about the POTUS, an elected official who represents the entirety of American citizens. Be they black, white, brown, yellow, or red, the POTUS should not play favorites to any one set of American citizens. Truthfully, even politics should be shoved aside, but that hasn't been practiced since George Washington left office.

This country needs to strive for equality amongst every citizen, regardless of background. Sadly, most people do not understand what equality actually means.

He can do both. Ultimately he has to in order to reach the equality we both crave.

Equality isn't reached by making white people feel less so black people can somehow feel vindicated. People today do not and should not carry the guilt of their ancestors. The idea they somehow should only creates more resentment and drives an even bigger wedge between black and white. The solution will come from working together, which we've clearly seen neither political party is capable of. Politicians divide, because that is how they keep their power. The people must provide the solution and stop looking for politicians to somehow fix this. Hate solves nothing.

^This is not what the underprivileged are asking for. Well I’d argue those that still directly profit off the advantage acquired by oppression owe a bill.
Your underlying premise sounds good but systematic racism exists. You do your credibility a disservice by not acknowledging. There can be no equality until the system and its vestiges are addressed.

Racism, systemic racism, whatever you want to refer to it as, I've acknowledged many times it still exists. What most fail to recognize is that the discrimination flows multiple ways. It's not just how whites treat blacks or any other minority. It's also about how blacks treat whites and how different minorities treat each other. Equality is about EVERYONE being treated the same. And if you cannot see that, I think you're the one doing a disservice to your credibility.

Your posts come across as if you don’t understand systematic racism. Even here you contradict yourself.
The bolded cannot be accomplished until the system and its vestiges are addressed.

The system won't be changed by politics or politicians. I've already addressed that. Politicians divide, they do not unite. Biden will do more of the same. You don't get change by doing the same thing over and over again. As Einstein said, that's insanity. So putting a career politician in the Oval Office and thinking he'll actually do something is bat **** crazy. I've addressed changing the system. It has to come from the people. And you accomplish more with an open hand than you do a closed fist. People need to work together, not at odds. Look at MLK as an inspiration for how it should be done.

A true hero!
Did you know...”He spoke to America the day before he was murdered and said, "America, all we ask is that you be true to what you said on paper." He also began to say that most Americans were unconscious racists. He began to challenge the notion that America was a racially blind, racially neutral country and he began to argue that many Americans would not come to grips with their own racist beliefs, ideas, and practices.”
A Georgetown professor explains how Martin Luther King Jr. 'has been severely whitewashed'

You keep assuming what Biden will do but provide no facts. He has already taken tremendous action. Wake up and lose the agenda. You’re being a sheep now.

We are more together as a country today than we were throughout the Trump administration. I know several people who feel much more safe in their community just because of the change in the executive office. Hell, 4 years ago, if people were not still out protesting Trump, there were just concluding.

We agree that it starts with the people! This very conversation may help someone.

Biden has a long history in politics. I think it's fair to look at that body and say he'll do as he's always done, nothing.

MLK was just a man. Perhaps he has been somewhat white-washed, in more ways than one. We don't talk about his foibles very much either. He also lived in a different time, when racism truly was around every corner. This is not that same world. But his frustrations, his human foibles, none of that takes away from the wisdom of his words.

The fact you think we're more together now as a country, now that we've gotten rid of that bad orange man, that's just laughable. This country hasn't had a true leader in a very long time. That continues even now. The truth is Biden is really no different than Trump. He's just the different side of the same twisted coin.

Omg stfu. The word “equality” has been so bastardized it means nothing. Nobody is being judged or oppressed simply based on their skin color in 2021 and long before.

Sadly, King's statement would be considered hate speech in 2021.

Oh...you’re just a bigot in general.
FYI, there’s a whole world outside your comfortable little shell.

I don’t like dumb f***s that go around burning down businesses and looting them in the name of “equality”. Those losers just wanted free sh**, and ruined many lives and killed people as well. Then you’ve got people surrounding little kids in public, or the elderly out eating at restaurants and trying to bully/intimidate/harass them. Blm is a fu***** joke. Not to mention their mission statement was pretty focused on destroying the nuclear family, transgender crap, garbage like that which I also don’t support. I don’t buy into the lies that blacks are being targeted and killed in huge numbers by police, the facts don’t back that up. So no, f*** blm.

Please tell me you’re not serious. If you are can you give us some details on what Biden has done for black people?
