I can only imagine what would happen if NFL Films ever released all the mic’ed up footage they have of the on field language that’s been used over the course of the last 10 seasons. I’m sure there’s nothing racist, homophobic or anything else that might help encourage someone to lose their job.

Gruden's words were offensive. I think it's fair to debate whether they merit him being fired/stepping down, but there really isn't an argument that what he said was in any way socially acceptable.

Yet he has done it for decades with success. Maybe they need to hire a black woman and go 0-16. Maybe the commissioner will pressure other teams to throw games so it doesn’t look so bad. “Diversity” #1!

No doubt but everyone makes comments in a private setting that are socially unacceptable. Only some are crucified for it.
