From the article "They also reported that the convention is estimated to bring $4.6 million in "economic impact" for the Sunshine State."
Well, if you haven’t seen it yet, pull up video on the Riverboat brawl in Montgomery, AL from this weekend. Figured there was no need to start a new thread. Don’t know if it was racially motivated, but it’s at best drunk dumbassery. Black Riverboat company employee was assaulted by multiple family members because he had to move their boat when they left it parked in a position apparently designated for the Riverboat operator.
From what I can tell…Those drunk ass white boys deserved what they got. I’d like to think that had the roles been reversed and the instigators were black that black folks would have came to a white security guards defense.Well, if you haven’t seen it yet, pull up video on the Riverboat brawl in Montgomery, AL from this weekend. Well if you consider weed, blow and hookers an economic impact.....From the article "They also reported that the convention is estimated to bring $4.6 million in "economic impact" for the Sunshine State."
LOL!
He wasn't a security guard. He was an employee of the other boat and started to untie the other boat from the dock. I'd get pissed about that too. From what I can tell…Those drunk ass white boys deserved what they got. There are other videos showing him trying to get them to move their boat for a while, actually moving the boat down the pier, tying it back off, and then arguing with them for a while before they decided to fight him. The chair was excessive and some of the women got more than they appeared to deserve. Otherwise, it ought to just be a lesson in manners for everybody involved and all charges ought to be dismissed and the big black guy who intervened first and kept it from getting out of hand ought to get a key to the city.He wasn't a security guard. I haven't seen anything prior to the one showing him untying the boat and then the guys that have the boat come in. If he was asking for awhile, it makes more sense why a fight broke out so fast since there was prior confrontation. There are other videos showing him trying to get them to move their boat for a while, actually moving the boat down the pier, tying it back off, and then arguing with them for a while before they decided to fight him. The incident started just hours after former President Donald Trump joined his supporters at an annual Republican Party summer dinner in Montgomery, which is credited as the birthplace of the Civil Rights Movement.
Dumb Bammers haven’t figured out what the Vol Navy figured out decades ago: tie your boat up to another boat and you don’t have to take up the entire pier.I haven't seen anything prior to the one showing him untying the boat and then the guys that have the boat come in. I agree with you. Everyone was extra in this event. The guys should have moved the boat out of courtesy to begin with.
The bunch of drunk thug wannabes deserve what they get, there is no excuse for their behavior. The black guy was just doing his job and they wanted to fight about it.
I also love this little nugget in the NPR article. And remember NPR is supposed to be apolitical.

Lots of people saying "tried it in a small town." ; )
Obviously, assaulting the guy for no apparent reason is about as bad as it gets, but it makes me so mad that they put their women in danger. The women felt compelled to get involved in the brawl because these dudes were getting ****ed up and then they get hurt too. I hope they never talk to them again.
