A few times, I've made the point that this is the new race card, and it's even more powerful. This is an extreme example illustrating the point. When you convince yourself (and others) that your opposition is a bunch of pedos, then you can justify just about anything.
“One month after the Supreme Court shut down racial discrimination in college admissions, Columbia Law School has added a mandatory 90-second video portion for all its applicants. According to the school, "The video statement will allow applicants to provide the Admissions Committee with additional insight into their personal strengths." Nobody is fooled. Everybody knows the real reason: Columbia is worried that they aren't allowed to ask applicants their race anymore, so they want to be able to find it out by other means. It's obvious that elite colleges are determined to keep discriminating against white and Asian applicants. The courts and Republican AGs need to make sure they don't get away with it. Sue the schools and FORCE them to be color-blind.”
more powerful?
If you're asking about the "more" part, I would say pedophiles are worse than racists.
If you're questioning the idea that playing these cards has power (power to demonize, convince, distract, appeal, etc.), I think that's pretty self-evident. That's why the race card is so over-played.
absolutely being a pedophile is being a racist but I'd guess most people labeled racists aren't in fact racists
I am questioning that it has more power than the race card
given that one is an actual crime - a credible accusation and charging is more powerful. however, I haven't seen any where near the number of people's lives or careers altered because a social media mob labeled them a pedophile compared to those labeled a racist.
where are all these victims of being labeled a pedophile without any real basis in fact? until that crops up the pedophile card pales to the race card IMO.
