WOW.

If I didn't know better I would swear that was a tape of me playing. Slicing off the tee, hitting trees, tents (houses in my case) and bunker shots all the way across the green. What a way to lose a major.

Phil Mickelson brings a lot of these losses on himself by not thinking on the course. There is no way that he should have hit a driver off the tee on 18, particularly the way he had been driving the ball this entire tournament.

Micklechoke strikes again. The guy is talented as all git out but makes some of the worst decisions. And he does it over and over and over and over again.

One of the wildest endings to a U.S. Open that i can remember. I am still in shock over what Mickelson did on the 18th. I bet he is doing alot of this right now :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:       :disappointed: :disappointed: :disappointed: :disappointed:

He had a one stroke lead on the last hole and hit driver off the tee when he hadnt hit maybe 2 or 3 fairways all day. He hit a freaking tent on his drive and then tries to hit a fancy shot through the trees and hits another tree. ON his third shot he hit into the buncker which plugged. His fourth shot went over the green and then his chip went past about 10ft and then he made his double bogey to finish one shot back. ENOUGH SAID I RECKON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

His stats when entering the 4th round with a lead are actually quite good. Not counting today of course :blush2:

Unbelievable - Monty's got to be kicking himself too.

Forget the driver off the tee. Why in the world did he go for the green instead of just pitching out?

You're referring to Stupid Decision #2 on the 18th Hole. Who the hell knows?

I just saw an interview with Phil. He looks like a guy who just had his car stolen. He's in complete shock.

Thing about Phil: He comes off awfully nice. I feel bad for him.

Remember, Sam Snead finished runner-up 4 times in the US Open as well, and never won.

Phil will rebound.

I feel bad for him too. But Phil just annoys the daylights out of me for some reason.

the worst melt down in a major since Jean Van Develde (sp?) in the British Open a few years ago.

why oh why would he hit his driver when he hadn't hit it good all day????

that's something i would do, not Phil Mickelson....jeez.

I really like the Dr. Jekyll Mr. Hyde that Phil has going on. Most golfers are too predictable. The only one that really bugs the heck out of me is Goosen. Don't really know why.
