The 108th U.S. Open Championship

And Tiger makes a sick putt look easy on 18 for another Eagle and the outright lead, all with a pain in his left kneww.

i know Tiger is the best in the game right now, but I get sick of having to watch every single motion he makes. Count me out as part of "Tigermania".

That has to be one of the most unreal rounds of golf I can remember watching. Tiger is as close as unhuman as you can get. It is just amazing at some of the stuff he does. He got a lot of luck during this round, especially his four errant drives that were so far off the fairway they weren't that bad. I give this guy absolutely sick props though for doing all of this on top of a knee in major pain. If this wasn't the US Open, he might not be coming back tomorrow. And all of this is coming from a non Tiger fan.

I feel the exact same way. I got very annoyed that they showed his 3 amazing shots (eagle putts on 13/18 and chip in on 17) about 10 times from various angles. They were amazing shots no doubt, but to see them any more than 3 times is just in excess.

except for the fact that while they showed me 1,395,758 different replays of one of his shots, Rocco blew up.

Tiger Freaking Woods! The guy's out there winning the U.S. Open on one leg. I know there are a lot of haters out there, but you have to admit he's probably the greatest golfer ever.

No. Give Bobby Jones his equipment and I'd love to see what he'd do. Heck give Arnie, Jack, Snead or a handful of others this equipment and these balls during their primes and they'd give Tiger more than a run for their money.

Maybe. You know what I'd like to see? One tournament a year with "classic" equipment ... where all the players use equipment made to the same specifications as some year in the past.

They'll never do it, but it'd be fun to watch.

I'm not going to agree with amoeba that he is the greatest player of all time, not yet at least, but you have to realize that while the equipment has gotten better, so has the conditions. Courses are much longer, tougher, and faster than they were during these players prime. I'm not saying any of these players couldn't have competed with Tiger with what players have nowadays, but Tiger is one of the best players to ever play the game, and will some day be the winningest player ever (if this knee gets better).

Kind of like the NFL "throwback" unis. I think it would be cool to see. Give Eldrick a persimmon driver and some old forged blades.

Bobby Jones would still light these courses up. The difference in the courses is no match for the improvements in the clubs and MOST importantly the difference in the ball.

I don't know about lighting them up, but yes, he would shoot some good scores with this equipment.
