I don't know much of it. I just know the whole Franky Cervelli/Jonnie Gomes/Shelly Duncan feud really livened things up.

Then of course CC threw up and in and broke Carlos Pena's wrist. Followed by one of TB's whack starters drilling Tex in the back the next time they played.

Wow, the Duncan/Gomes fight seemed like yesterday. to me that seemed like a "we arent going to be pushed around anymore" declaration of 2008. Im sure you don't really recall that seeing is the Yankees are the Bama of baseball but for us as a losing franchise, was sort of a symbolic statement of saying we are here to compete and not back down.

FYI: Im not referring to you as a inbred Bama fan, just the legacy angle of winning 800 titles.

I mean, I guess...but don't go after a AA catcher to prove it.

Well, Chan Ho Park just joined the Yankees. Expect him to throw in relief.

As a Yankees fan, allow me to be the first to say YUCK.

Maybe they can see something they can fix? :dunno:

He wasn't too bad for the Phillies out of the pen last year

That's what I meant. I guess I'm still in 2004 for some reason.

But he didn't pitch that badly for the Phils either. 84h in 83 innings, but more than a 2:1 K:BB

A veteran to eat up some innings out of the pen.

Nothing to write home about, but will be pretty decent.

Nothing to fix with Park. Like Lofton said, a good arm to throw out there when the game is well in hand or out of hand.

It seems as if they Yankees will be heading to the 6th with plenty of 5-6 run leads.

Hughes is still in relief right? Joba starting and then 8-9 basically shutdown completely.

One of the two. During the playoffs though, Joba was the 8th inning guy and Hughes really didn't do much of anything.

Agreed. O's make some noise, Jays aren't as bad as everyone expects them to be.

The Jays wont be as bad as everyone thinks i agree, they will only lose 95 games.

If the wild card dosent come from this division i will be shocked.

Millwood stabilizes a rotation at the top that Guthrie couldn't yet... then Guthrie, Matusz, Bergesen, Tillman... and Arrieta waiting to be called up. Solid offensively. Not world beaters and maybe not the potential to shock everyone yet (rays-style), because that young pitching could just take a beating in this division.

P CASEY KELLY

This one time UT QB recruit, who elected to play baseball in the end, is among baseball's top 50 prospects (ranked 24th in the Baseball America Top 100 for 2010). His best tool is command. According to Baseball America, he is projected to arrive to the Show next season. If he experiences the same type of success he had last season, he may get the taste much earlier than expected.

NOTES: He was also an infielding shortstop with a superb bat. He was drafted in the first round of the 2008 MLB First-Year Draft. Played Team USA in last season's Futures Game.
