The 2010 N L East Thread

Now the Nationals are saying he may make his debut around the June 8-10 period against the Pirates.

Strasburg's date to make his debut is June 8th against the Pirates. It is a home game so the future of the franchise will be on display in front of the crowd that wants to see him.

Any news on Rollins yet, Rob?
No, that offense needs him because he is what gets Utley and Howard going. They probably wish they had Jason Donald.

UPDATE: His recovery is a slow one. There is no timetable for his return. He has to be able to run without problems in order for him to get back in the starting lineup.

This impressive 20 year old is the organization's top prospect. Ranked the third best prospect in Baseball America Top 100 prospects. Delivered 28 homers and drove in 92 runs combined. Has a strong arm in the outfield. His best tool is power and is considered among the best.

Tore up AA pitching with an astonishing 20 HR and 52 driven in. Make his debut tonight @ Philly.

With this move, at least 4 of 5 PROSPECT SHOWCASE players have made it to the bigs.

Ranked first or second on all prospect lists, and if he is second, it's to some Heyward guy. Incredible movement, incredible stuff... incredible expectations. I'm giddy with excitement, and get to see his debut March 9th
7 IP, 2R, 14K's = WIN

Hey Dbake, let me get your allegiances straight here, you use to be a Red Sox fan but now you are a Nats fan?

Red Sox fan for a couple years.. 01-05 or so. Growing up I was a huge Braves fan.

Why

My two favorite teams now are Nationals and Reds... My dad has always loved Cincy too and we go there to watch games at least once a year. Zimmerman and Votto have become my favorite players since they came into the league.

Nomar started me on my red sox craze when I was younger.

Drew Storen's ball must move like flippin crazy. He makes people look dumb on 88 mph fastballs upstairs.

Crow in AA ball this year... 5.66 ERA, 6 ks/9, 4.5 walks/9, 1.59 WHIP. hmmm.

is anyone else having problems with ESPN? I'm trying to watch this Mets game and it keeps cutting out. It is the weather there?? Or is it just my cable?
