The 2016 NCAA Tournament Thread

I had SF Austin in all my espn brackets. Mad I didn't do it on VN. They played really well against that press and WVU was so sloppy.

Would it be a better sport if they actually had a chance to go all the way?

Always (with an occasional Bo) comes down to the dynasty teams with the most 1 and dones.

I want to watch the best talent. That brings the most fun basketball. Now trust me, I love watching SFA/Yale/MTSU but at the same time, give me the best players.

Send them to the D league and let 340+ teams compete.

Watch Pros in the pros. That's just me tho.

I get that argument. I think they should go back to prep to pro but that's not going to happen.

I knew W Va was a fraud because they got killed by a bad Florida team. But it was in the next round, not this one.

Damn Michigan St screwed my bracket to hell. Oh well, it's not like I had money on it. I like seeing upsets. I'm shocked that a Cuonzo coached team got bounced by a double digit seed.

Who you got in the others tonight?

Sorry I didn't see this earlier.

Finished 27-5 in 1st rd action. Lost Wichita St., Michigan St., Pittsburgh, Michigan, and West Virginia.

Still have 14 of Sweet 16 teams alive, 7 of Elite 8, and 3 of Final 4. So, my 5 losses, with the exception of Michigan St. weren't killers.

That's pretty damn good. With no bonus points for upsets, I went chalk a lot. My bracket got destroyed today with all the upsets. I can't believe MTSU beat Michigan St and SF Austin destroyed WVU.

We sound pretty similar, I finished 25-7 in round 1. 14/16 Sweet 16 alive, 7/8 elite 8, 4 of 4 final four.

Lost: Cincy, UTC, WV, Purdue, Seton Hall, Dayton and MSU.

Thanks. I really only wrestled with the Wichita-Arizona game with some passing thought given to Stephen F. Austin as well. No bonus for upsets for me either, but I like picking ones I really believe in, plus every bit helps.

As it goes from this point on, I went chalk a lot though. FF is Kansas, Oklahoma, UNC, Michigan St., so two 1 seeds and two 2 seeds. Nothing earth-shattering there. Picking the early upsets could be the difference in winning it all or not in my pool. I thought 27-5 would be easily good enough for 1st place at this point, but amazingly enough, out of 88 people, one other person is tied with me at the top with 27 points. Their bracket is a bigger mess moving forward however.

Couple of those losses could have gone either way too. 25-7 is a real nice start, especially with those losses not really hurting you too bad moving forward.

And that was probably the best day that I can remember for March Madness. Crazy day.

That(UNI) last second half court shot with inbound at 2.4 seconds reminded me of the days of Larry bird.
Very entertaining day. Most of my under dogs pulled off their miracles.

With all the mid majors pulling off upsets I think UT will do fine with the 3 stars CRB has coming in - it just shows basketball recruiting/scouting sites arent all what they are made out to be

Mid major coaches are use to getting the most out of their recruits....power 5 coaches need top rated recruits, especially if they want to play an up and down game, with little intensity on defense.

That game was awesome. I nearly woke the whole house up when he hit that shot. Great finish to a great game. Wes Washpun is really good too. He can get to the basket just about any time he wants.

I've got Miami/Duke/UK/ISU/UVA/KU/UNC today...I'm wrong regardless in Gonzaga vs. Utah so I'll be pulling for the Zags.
