Katie Ledecky should win another gold with probably another world record at 10 pm tonight in the women's 400m freestyle final. The schedule looks a little slow today. Not much going on.

Also, Phelps is expected to swim in the 4x100m freestyle final tonight. Would be gold medal #19. Australia, and the Russian Dopers will be tough though.

Katie Ledecky does take the gold in the 400m freestyle. She finished more than a full body length ahead of her previous world record time.

Phelps gets #19 and the US wins the 4x100m freestyle... He swam a great 2nd leg. I think he looks stronger now than he did in London.

I wonder how long Phelps's record will stand. The next closest is a Russian gymnast from the '50s with 9 golds.

Am I the only one that thinks that all 3 of our beast gymnasts should get to compete for all around. I think it should be based on scores only. Its like the rules are saying your team is too good so we are giving someone else a chance to medal too

That is a fact. The top 3 overall qualifiers for the individual all around were the Americans. In order: 1) Biles 2) Raisman 3) Douglas... Douglas is getting screwed.

Yep and I think when the same thing happened in London all 3 of our girls were right there at the top too.

Anyone know what the swimming splits were on that relay? It looks like they had some really fast swims in that race, almost as fast as 2008 before the shark-skin suits were banned.
