I want 10 games or better for the Vols

If you think that's happening this upcoming season, then...

lol :eek:lol:

If CBJ's offense is successful and our defense can fight their way out of a paper bag, then we are a 7-8 win team. I'm totally satisfied with that as long as we pull an upset on either UGA, SCe, or FL.

I disagree. We have a ton of talent on defense that were all playing out of position. We had 4-3 players playing in a 3-4 defense. The biggest coaching fail in the history of our program. If CDD had one ounce of intelligence he would have fired salami face mid season and took over the defense and put them back in a 4-3.

I remember when I had a cracker thrown at me at Daryls restaurant in Lafeyette IN. for wearing my T hat minding my own business eating a late night meal. I walked over to the fat ass wearing a tie with his 3 polish buddies and while I tightened his tie for him management came over and threw all 4 of them out and paid my bill. The only thing I said was "Are you so stupid you don't realize Peyton saved your Colts?"

The Harbaugh offense and the Jones offense are entirely different. They share similarities but they're run a lot different. Harbaugh uses a bunch of 2 TE sets with an emphasis on power running. Jones mainly spreads the field with 3 and 4 WR's out of the shotgun trying to create mismatches and get their backs in space with misdirection. Harbaugh runs right at ya from under center and (recently) from the pistol/shotgun using the 2nd TE as and H-back. They both employ a west coast passing scheme, but Jones is more the traditional WCO, short high % routes. Harbaugh has more of a vertical scheme trying to stretch the field. They both use the zone read, but entirely different ways and from different formations.

Jones offense depends on his RB as well as his QB and their abilities and adjusts accordingly.

Every run first offense depends on their RB's, and of course the QB is the staple of any offense. I'm not sure what you're trying to say....If you're trying to say he will adjust his scheme to be more pro-style drop back passer from under center, I disagree. His offense has always relied on the RB carrying the ball from the gun. You might not see the zone read go for huge yardage from the QB keep, but he'll still run it. Most of the time it's a hand-off anyway. His passing schemes will stay the same and he'll operate out of the gun 99% of the time.

Let’s hope somebody brings this kind of defense.

If that was Bernard pollard that would be helmet to helmet

the falcons choke again---it never changes down there

Why do you say they choked? A choke to me is not even showing up to play and getting dominated. They played a great game and had a chance to win at the end. Just because they got beat, doesn't mean they choked.

Up 17 and losing is a choke.

Especially given the situation.

Choke is a much over used term when a team loses. To me, choke involves being nervous or tentative. That was not my impression of the Falcons in anyway yesterday. They made some mistakes but I never felt they were unsure of themselves or what they were doing. Or scared. They just got beat by the better team :) .

I was hoping for Falcons and Broncos. I guess the 49ers would be OK. Ray Lewis is getting on my nerves acting like God is a Ravens fan.

Worse thing about Ravens making the Super Bowl: Seeing Ray Lewis doing that stupid dance.

The Patriots lack of a vertical passing game cost them the game . Also they were ''out toughed" and "out played" by the Ravens. Hope our players watched the game. That's the way winning football is played.

So, you're telling me our offense has potential if we can lock down a wrecking ball RB, backed up by a speedy Heisman finalist. Both running behind a strong OL built for opening huge holes.

The same OL can buy time for a 4.5 QB who just so happens to have accuracy as well. Who is throwing to a Texas Killer, a WR legend, and a 4.3 TE who creates ridiculous mismatches.

So we just need to offer those kind of guys and get them on Rocky Top, and we might have a chance to have a similar offense to what we'll see on Superbowl Sunday?

That's good!
