The 99%

Regardless of whether or not they are in the top 1% doesn't matter. Small business didn't create jobs, demand and the marketplace did.

Does being hungry create food? If the answer is yes, then I will agree that demand creates jobs. Personally, I think desire produces nothing, work produces things.

Yes there was much demand. Someone knew people wanted a better product. If you dont think Apple spent some money on market research, you're farther behind than I orignially thought. AND BTW, Apple isn't a small business

Apple started life in a suburban garage. Apple started on the idea of producing something better than what was there and created demand for its products. Just because Apple is a big company now does not detract from that. Actually, it proves how possible it is.

To the guy who said need creates a job ...

Need can be created out of thin air by an inventor.

There was no need for half the stuff Apple created but there was a niche and he created it. Same with the Atari 2600.

Marketing can also cause the public to believe there is a need when in reality there is not.

The need for Cabbage Patch dolls in the 80's was marketing yet the need was so great parent's were fighting in stores like it was food and water and they were starving.

Need does not create a job though, take a risk, borrow money to float payroll, put together a business plan, run the plan so cashflow is above board, and then make sure the model grows. A business owner sees a need(or believes they can create a need) and then acts upon it.

What about the Pet Rock? Who could've predicted the success of that product, unless there was a demand for rocks packaged as pets and I was completely unaware of it.

hard to believe ain't it.

I'm in the "knowledge" business and I consider my time on VN as "research"

I would ask if I should charge you tuition but you would probably say no then bill me for consultation.

Knowledge is power.
