70* and sunny today. Hopefully I'll get a ride in after work. I should have packed my bike in the trunk...

14.8 yesterday and 37.1 this am. Beautiful morning to ride low winds off the Gulf and more ladies walking to the beach to make the last 8 miles a little easier. Plus, most of the Canadians have seemed to have migrated back to the north, which makes riding in the road more safe.

Winds are so high it was impossible for me to stay upright this morning. Do exercise bike miles count? Heading off to the gym to get my workout in.

question. what is the intended purpose of the devil horn protrusions on the end of old mnt bike handle bars? why did they quit adding them. i am thinking about removing mine. i dont really use them.

To gain leverage climbing up hills, I believe.

brb... 60-mile charity ride with 20mph winds in an hour.

Just got back from 31 miles. Had some people that weren't able to make it 60 miles so we cut it in half. The wind returning was brutal but I led a good mile or so pushing 18mph into the wind. So tired now.

Wind sucks. Left bike on rack and finally hit the pool today.

They are great for leverage when climbing a rutted rooty hill. If you don't know what you're doing, you can hook a tree while riding. That's the biggest reason people take them off.

17 miles yesterday. The trails were awesome. Wanted to ride longer but had to get home and grill some burgers for a cookout.

I need a new jersey ASAP. The one I have irritates the living hell out of my nipples. Still sore.

7 miles in the woods. First time I've ridden everything at this park. pretty stoked.

nice man. got a few miles in this evening with a couple on trails. i wish i could start and finish my rides on trails, as opposed to riding to them. no point in wasting gas, driving. the trails arent long enough to warrant that anyways.

if i take those protrusions off my handlebars, there is going to be bout 3/4 inch of bare bare extending from the grips. is there something to put over that or a trick to make it look a little better?

slide your grips out to the ends of the bar and then adjust your brake and shifter levers out accordingly. If your grips continue to twist after moving them, its a sign you need new grips. $20-40 at your local bike shop.
