The All Things Cycling Thread

I got the promotion today and my first raise in 3 years. To celebrate, I'm buying one of these next: Amazon.com: Adrenaline Promotions Tennessee Cycling Jersey, Orange: Clothing

I got to ride down to Subway and back. :( Someone walking into the bar next door commented on my bigs balls for riding in this chilly and windy weather.

Have two of these. Go with a size larger than you usually get as they fit small. One other thing is that the zipper is difficult to unzip if completely zipped up so you may want to ensure that it is not fully zipped to the top.

Word. I might pass on it then and just get a high quality jersey. I picked up some bib shorts yesterday. They're definitely a lot more comfortable than shorts. I got a short, quick ride in today, would have gone longer buy my riding partner cancelled on me. I need to have the shifting fine tuned some more. Looks like rain for the rest of the week. I'm tired of this crap and I hope that Saturday and Sunday are clear.

gonna try and knock the rust off my legs today and get some saddle time in. the weekend rest was much needed for my knees tho.

keep passing a pack of chic road cyclists on my rides. some are nice looking. wonder if they would mind me falling in behind them.. :)

I passed a 20-something girl once riding in spandex and I could clearly see her thong. I was going a lot faster than her otherwise I would have sat on her wheel for a bit. lol

Sounds like a perfect place to slow down and smell the flowers...

saw a chic on a group mtn bike ride. Got back to the parking lot, she was on a yoga mat wearing capris and her sports bra doing yoga stretches. think I might need to join that group.

And with gas prices I'm contemplating riding to work. Only about 5 miles from home.

i am as well. just have 7 miles of hills and 630 am clock in time to contend with. one good thing would be that when i get home my exercise would be done and i would have more time to be a lazy @ss(my other hobby)

1.25 hour ride to work and longer home. Mostly hills on the way back...well...just one giant one. 8am clock in. I might give it a shot on my next day off and see if can cut it down to an hour.

now that i have found some small trails nearby, im really getting back into trail riding. zipping down a trail, dodging stumps and limbs is EXHILIRATING. much different from the terrain in wyoming and south dakota where i bought my bike and began riding. i still love riding the roads, but when my tires touch dirt, im thankful to have a mountain bike.
