The "Alright let's hurry up I'm going to IHOP" Postgame Report

You guys are right about the timeout; he absolutely should have called one. But with 4.4 seconds left and the ball 94 feet from the basket, we probably don't score anyway, so that's not my focus.

My focus is on the fact that we let a vastly inferior team storm back on us ON OUR OWN HOME COURT. We had no response, nothing to stop it. They just kept chipping at it. The lead was 8, then it was 6, then 4, and so on. And we didn't make any runs, did nothing. NOTHING, dammit.

Everyone involved is at fault, players and coaches.

AND FOR ****'S SAKE JERONNE JUST MAKE 1 OF THOSE 2 FREE THROWS AT THE END AND WE'RE PROBABLY WALKING HOME WITH A WIN.

Sorry for the all caps. But ****.

Look at the bright side!

We get to have more Rpi, quality win, SOS, and forcasted last 4 in and out discussions!

Half season wouldn't have it any other way. It keeps the interest level up!

UT did not speed up the tempo and let Jones have too many good looks in the second half.

Maymon was a beast on the boards. He is my choice for BK pog because of his rebounding.

A useful teaching tool for better clock management at the end of the game.

The Auburn game is a must win game before UT faces Kentucky at Rupp Arena at 12 p.m. next Saturday.

Look, the cheapie moving screen calls sucked, no doubt about it. But you can't blame the refs for blowing a 15-point lead to a crappy team like A&M. The team clearly lost focus tonight, and that's on Cuonzo. Yes, Maymon's two missed free throws at the end were huge, but Caruso for A&M bricked two in a row right before that, and UT shot 71% at the line for the game compared to A&M's 50%.

Wait till Barton arrives at the Nashville Electric Ballroom. That's when he can fuss about refs. Although, they weren't too bad today

I disagree. It seemed that every time we started to grab momentum back in the 2nd half they came through with one of their ill advised calls and sucked it back away from us. I won't sit here and try to place the blame on the officiating, but it did contribute.

IMO, if they don't back off a little on some of the changes, I think they are ruining the game. I agree that the charge calls needed to change, but now they have gone too far the other way. Except somehow we managed to get offensive fouls called on us tonight. The touch foul thing probably needed to happen, but it still sucks to watch them ruin the flow of a game to call effin touch fouls.

Worst officiating I have seen this year. I was at the game and they constantly blew their whistles and half the time if was for illegal screens. They must have called 10 of them and I haven't seen half a dozen called all season. The officiating in this conference is piss poor and so inconsistent it ruins the game. I would have said the same thing had we won. It's to the point where I don't think I will be purchasing season tix anymore.

I'm so tired of this mismanagement.

This is Top25 talent, we're severely lacking a top 25 coaching staff.

With the proper coaching, this team would be in the top 10 and looking pretty. But instead another loss that shouldn't have been a loss.:shakehead:

It was the worst officiating job of the year. To deny it is your option, but you would be incorrect. aTm was in the bonus and double bonus before UT in the second half. If an aTm player made a drive to the basket and the UT player tried to cut the move off there would be a foul called. If the reverse happened the UT player would be shoved with no call. Our bigs stopped helping because they would not call a charge or would get called for contesting the shot. Same with Richardson as he contested shots. Watch the replay. What made it worse it was at home. Absolutely no respect for Zo, the players or UT at all.

Officials should fear when they enter TBA like they seemingly do when they enter Rupp. The HC sets the tone along with the players. This bunch of players reflect their HC's attitude and approach. Oh, well, Eeyore. Hang your head and blubber some senseless garbage after the game. No Plan B - ever. No emotional outbursts at the refs or players. No TO's to stop runs or make adjustments.

Time to move on. Seen enough.

Typical Hammy hire. That beady eyed little bean counter got lucky hiring Pearl, so he thought he could pick a diamond in the rough all the time. Enter Dooley and Martin. The end for us.

I won't blame officials for a loss when aTm went nearly 10 minutes without a field goal in the first half and we lost, but I did notice that the announcers did mention that UK has shot the most FTs in the league, and the next closest team was 75 behind them.

I'm not surprised they are atop the list, but the margin is ridiculous.
