I'm clearly confusing characters actually. So there was no Gwen Stacy in the first Spiderman movie series only Mary Jane?

Gwen Stacy made an appearance (played by Bryce Dallas-Howard) as an "old flame" but was never really explained who she was.

I wonder is the Rhino going to be created by Norman Osborn?
Can't wait to see a Teaser and see Electro using his powers, and cool sounds.

S3 was a mess because it used the so familar problem of trying to fit to many super villains in one movie, as a comedy you can't be dissappointed if you watch it as that.

Here is one of the first pics of Jamie Foxx as Electro.

Not sure I like the look so far, reminds me of Infamous or Johnny Ohm too much.

But, I did think of something.

Let's assume this movie does as well as the previous, and that the villains are received at least moderately well.

Are we not setting up for potentially the end of the trilogy involving the Sinister Six? I would absolutely have a nerdgasm for Sinister Six ending, and even moreso if they borrowed just a tiny bit from the 90s tv show and did a Red skull + Sinister Six crossover.

Jamie Foxx Goes Full ELECTRO on Entertainment Weekly Cover

Following the release of several set pics during the production of Amazing Spider-Man 2, Jamie Foxx is in full Electro makeup (and facing off with Spidey) in an official promotional image on the cover of Entertainment Weekly's Comic-Con issue.

The full article isn't online, but in an excerpt, EW quotes director Marc Webb on the freedom granted by doing a second movie. "People aren’t scared," Webb told the magazine. "With the first one I felt it was important to retell that origin story. But that was kind of brutal because people were so familiar with it. Now that the origin story is done? We’re off to the races. It’s incredibly liberating."

This just seems weird coming from him as isn't he dating Emma Stone in real life?

I had heard that's why Shailene Woodley was let go as she was causing friction between her and Stone & Andrew.

He is dating Stone but he is a huge pro-gay marriage person. If they made MJ a guy that would cause an uproar.

Some AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 3 NEWS!
Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci, and Jeff Pinkner are all set to come back to write The Amazing Spider-Man 3

Paul Giamatti will be reprising his role as the Rhino in the third film.

Also rumors that the Sinister Six could be introduced in the 3rd film!

Looks like there will be some pretty awesome action sequences. Not too thrilled with what's going on with the mythos.

Plus Spider-Man can't cold cars above his head.

And why not?
This is a different universe it's a variation wasn't the first and won't be the last.

I'm not a fan of the Ultimate version. It pales in comparison to the original concept.

From the beginning he was supposedly gifted with "the proportional strength of a spider". Comics are, of course, all over the map and generally someone is as weak/powerful as the writers need them to be. Still, just in regular canon, I had thought him to always be in the "10 ton" class. While I don't keep up with such things I'm under the impression he's capable of much more now.

During and after the events of "The Other" storyline, yes he was strong enough to lift a car like that and do much more, but once One More Day and subsequent stories happened, no he couldn't. All of these events seem to be from a completely separate universe of course, so they could be saying he is stronger very easily.

I really hope they kill Gwen in this one, so that the third one can be his redemption/dark phase before becoming good again (not at all like Spiderman 3, that movie was terrible)

He was able to do it when he had the venom symbiot or when he had cosmic powers briefly (and I guess after "the Other" which I skipped and has pretty much been swept under the rug) but other wise it's been a little out of his scope. Could he lift a car up and flip it? Maybe. Could he catch one and hold it over his head? No. I could see him jumping in like that and deflecting it but not catching it.

Granted, it's a nitpicky thing for me. I'm more upset about Mecha Rhino, the emo Harry Osborne, and the Mr. Freeze look-a-like Electro.

Since I only get to the theatre a couple of times a year I'm not sure this one will make the cut. Probably wait for video/Netflix.
