I guess I see those two vote-drivers as the same. People are fed up with Bush Admin and Obama is offering a significant diversion to his policies.

So youcan look it both ways - voting for Obama's ideas or against Bush's. McCain failed to ever separate his ideas from Bush's and ultimately that killed his chances.

Any woman who has accomplished what oprah has has my deepest respect. Particurally a black woman. In this process she has been far better than the vast majority of talk show hosts out there. Take a look at the view for instance.

the young voted for obama because he himself is young and he speaks well. The young are generally pretty dumb.

That's an interesting point. I really think racist upbringing among white people will be gone a few generations before black people let it be gone. Hopefully I'm wrong.

There are just as many, if not more, racist in the northeastern states, mainly large cities. Racism and segregation is a way of life there.

Some people do take it over the top - agreed. But they do call it a "race" and there is a "winner". I wouldn't read a little gloating as a bad thing and certainly not label them as dumb.

The smugness of the left has been downright disgusting. They seem to think that they will rule the country for the rest of the century. 2 years from now they will have a nice wake up call when the republicans take back the senate.

Chris Rock said that about OJ. He said all his Black friends were hollering "we won". He said he had been going to the mailbox everyday looking for his OJ prize. :eek:lol:

I understand...but these ppl I am particuarly refering to havent even mentioned the race until today. They know about as much politics as a 2 yr old. With them, its more about doing what is popular and not saying they like someone that lost. I honestly doubt half of them even voted

Truth. I lived in Chicago and the surrounding areas before moving to Birmingham. It's much more segregated there and equally racist but more covert.

like i've said several times last night i understand the significance. it's just ashamed that he's a socialist, and is for homers, and abortions. it blows my mind how so called "Christians" can support a guy who has these beliefs. supposedly he's a Christian, but believes there are diff ways to Heaven? really are you serious with that? now i know that oprah isn't a Christian and has basically created her own religion, but still this guy is for abortion. makes me want to puke
