Whoever said McBee's defense was awful in 1 v 1 needs to pay more attention. The worst call of the night was when he stayed with Wade step for step to the baseline, got him out of control about to turn the ball over, and they called a BS block. That was the epitome of great 1 v 1 defense.

that was a horrible call.

i will say though, and please dear god dont let this start an arguement, in person after arky got done it was clear what richardson told his guys. whoever skylar is guarding you try and take him, and they did for a while they continued to attack him, the help defense was good though and between skylar getting a good angle and pushing them into the help it didnt hurt us very often.

agreed though his defense is getting much better, and one thing ive noticed is he's backed off. he use to play right up, and on move and the guy is going to be by you if you play that tight, especially with his athletic issues. he has backed up to give himself a good chance to use angles when guys start to drive on him.

great job by skylar and ccm improving his defense, and more importantly his shot.

I said they played well against UGA's zone. And they did. Other than that, we usually struggle with it and it's a big concern. I don't get what this is so difficult to understand. I did not say they fixed their issues. I said they did a good job that game, which they did, and multiple others agreed.

FWIW, i thought our zone offense was actually pretty good after a few minutes that they had implemented it. also, golden going out for awhile there with the ankle really leaves a sour impression when watching our team trying to work against a zone.

all we did was pass the ball back and forth around the perimeter and thats when arky really had cut the lead down, we just werent getting any good looks at all. golden came back in and immediately the offense look 100x smoother.
