That sucked.

Not gonna gloat. We lost the same way the week before, so I empathize. You totally deserved to win, and Nagbe's 2nd goal was unbelievable. Both these are worth another look (4' 50" and 7' 15"):

I was under the impression that Barca didn't get as many calls in their favor anymore. Clearly i was mistaken

The shirt pull doesn't get called 99% of the time, or there would be a penalty every corner kick. It also looked like Puyol took out Biscuits in the process of blocking Nesta, which is a foul as well...

But yes, it only gets called correctly when Barca needed the go ahead.

As for the 1st one, Messi stuck his leg into the path of the sliding tackle. Smart heads up to step into a tackle that wasn't going to hit him in the first place.

The whole shirt tug deal is something I would love to be called more often. I've said that for years, regardless of who is playing.

The first penalty is 100% the correct call. Not even going to argue with you on that.

Not arguing the first one either, smart play by Messi to stick his leg in the tackle.

I hate the controversy, but I think the result was fair and representative of who was the better team over the two legs. Sure, a lot of people want Bracelona to lose so they lock onto the referee's decisions, but the better team advanced.

Now, Chelsea is going to get smashed and I'm going to love it.

Porto gets a $16.7k fine for racist chanting.

Wenger gets $40k fine and 3 game ban for criticizing refs.

Sounds about right.

I don't think it is just the shirt pulling penalty, but also the fact that he didn't seem to call it both ways. My dad who never watches soccer and knows nothing about it told me he thought the ref had money on "the blue team". I remember a blatant penalty on Ibra that didn't get a call and another close one on Robinho, and the ref just looked the other way. He never really seemed interested in calling it fair.

I would like to add that I wanted Barcelona to win.. I just don't like seeing teams win like that. Especially teams that can play like Barcelona.

So, I don't have Fox Soccer, but I'm wanting to watch Chelsea/Benfica. Is it on another channel? I'm on DirecTV, If that helps.

Do yourself a favor and get Fox Soccer

I have tried, but there is a problem: in order to acquire Fox Soccer on DirecTV, one must upgrade to their highest subscription package, as it is the only package that carries FSC. Any suggestions on how to add FSC without shelling out $119 a month would be greatly appreciated.

You can try Fox Soccer2go. They carry the champions league games as well as EPL, Ligue 1, and some Serie A. Cost is $19.99 per month. I had it last year and enjoyed it, but they didn't have Bundesliga games, which I was more interested in. Should work out well for you, though.

I'm assuming this is web-based? I may have to look into that. I miss so many matches because I don't have FSC. It's ridiculous that DTV requires you to have their ultimate package in order to see it.

Hope you guys crush Madrid.

"And it drops to the exaxtlu who you would want to. A fabulous footballer, who never lost lost his head. Who kept control of his emotions in a massive moment in his life and he smashed Chelsea out of this tournament."

Such a great call.
