Clearly you only watch Barca when they play Real Madrid, because that's the only time they resort to those tactics.

Of course it is, because that's normally the only time they face a legitimate challenge in La Liga. They don't have to do that crap when they're running roughshod over vastly inferior competition.

^What formation / players do you use with Chelsea? I've used a 4-1-2-1-2 (with Mata and Malouda in the mid for speed) since the beginning and have had pretty much an even record the whole time.
Malouda rarely sees the pitch for me, I sub him for mata every once and a while. I like the default 4-3-3. I usually run drogba or torres down the middle(duh). I use mata on the left wing and sturridge/torres out on the right. Usually sturridge. With Essien at central mid and Lamps in at right and Meireles in left. On D I like to play Cahill and Terry in the middle, sometimes Ill leave Cahill out and play Ivan. Usually i have Ivan out on the right. I don't like to use Luiz or Bosingwa. When I push Ivan center ill use either of them on the right tho. Sometimes you have to play speed. Cahill, Terry and Ivan arent the fastest.

I also like to play 4-2-3-1. Basically the same set, but i obviously push Drogba high and Lamps into a CAM role.

Ok enough about who did what on Xbox, did anyone else think that Barca didn't really do themselves any favors yesterday with their formation? I think that there were too many cooks in the kitchen.

Ironic. Bringing us back to reality is the guy with evil Abed as his pic. To answer your question, I don't think that was their problem. Heck three of them were just sitting there making sure the ball stayed in Chelsea's half and acting as outlets. I think they needed to lure Chelsea out of there side. Chelsea can sit back and defend all day in tight quarters.

Anyone else think Real takes this one easily? Not talking smack to the München fans, just a hunch on my part.
Very possible. Real is coming off a big win in El Clasico. Munchen will defend better than Barca though. Im torn. Im going to predict that Munchen will get the draw today and take it on the aggregate.

Evil Abed rules, and you know this.

What I mean is that with so many playmakers on the field they always just tried to walk the ball into the net. They rarely took any long shots and passed and passed and passed again. In a way, Barca crowded Messi out of his game. He needs space to work and there wasn't any.

I do know this. and I agree, Messi had no space.

I watched part of that game. Good effort by the B team with a great closing goal by Ribery. Dortmund still got the trophy though.

Yeah, frustrating as hell. I wish they represented the Bundesliga better in the CL.

Less than one hour. I'm getting nervous.

Worst possible start for Bayern. That was a pretty harsh penalty though. From behind it could have easily looked to the ref like he stuck his hand out, but really is was just hanging at his side and the ball hit it.
