The Association Football Thread

It's horrible. Mind blowing that they are just getting it to Atlanta. I don't think they have it anywhere in Tennessee yet.

They have it anywhere in the world in HD that you can get reception on a DirecTV dish, and have for some time now. Your mind should never be blow by the sluggish ways of Comcast to add HD channels to their lineup. To be honest with you, my mind is somewhat blown that you've gotten in already. I just assumed it would be at least 5-10 more years, if ever, before they added something like that in HD.

Good rule of thumb, ALWAYS take the over when gambling on when Comcast will add a channel an HD that you want.

A question to you guys who watch bundesliga, gylfi sigurdsson for hoffenheim; have you seen him play and what did you think of him.

Spurs just picked him up, wondering if he can step into modric's boots

There has to be a reason none of their best players want to stay there.

It's the board. Theres no secret about that. Dein left and it hasn't been the same since. I'll hate to see him go but I'm not too bothered. The new signings will help, Wilshere will be back, the Ox will take another step forward and if they sell him now, there is still time to buy more talent. It might be a blessing in disguise. He's due a serious injury.

He played for Swansea on loan last year and was a decent surprise. I feel like i remember hearing he had a good free kick. He was supposed to follow Brendan Rogers to Liverpool but Spurs offered 20k more a week in pay.

Notes from today:
-Apparently, Denilson is leaving Arsenal, too.
-FIFA approves the use of goal line technology at the 2013 Confederations Cup and 2014 World Cup.

Not sure how they could have dragged their feet much longer while maintaing some drop of integrity.

Since when has FIFA ever concerned themselves with integrity? We're talking about an organization run by Sepp Blatter.
