YouTube - Real Madrid vs Barcelona 27/04/11 Barcelona Players Diving! Pepe no contact with Dani Alves

Pay very close attention around 1:30, or don't, because it gets shown over and over...

Just terrible.

Not going to defend it. Clearly wasn't a red card. A yellow card? Yes. Still is a very dangerous regardless of whether the ball stops him from making contact. Dangerous tackles were littered throughout all four Clasicos from Madrid. Pretty obvious Barcelona tried to get as much out of every reckless tackle they could.

You want a card thrown for something that could have happened? Yeesh. It'd be goalie v goalie by halftime.

It's about intent man. I see cards given everyday for stuff like that.

Without the overreaction and writhing on the ground over a breeze, the ref doesn't see it. He had 3-4 ppl in between him and the Oscar performance.

To be fair, I do think he was trying to kick him, but missed and Alves went with what Barca is fast becoming known for, diving, instead of carrying on with play.

Barca should be known for their play, not for their acting abilities. It just makes a mockery of the game. I use to like watching Barca play, now, it's more to see what new things the acting coach has taught them.

I do think it has gotten a little out of hand. It's something I have accpeted with Spanish football but I think it has been showcased a little more than usual with playing Madrid four times in the last few weeks.

So Manchester United fans, what do yall expect from your team at Wembley? Assuming everyone is available, what kind of lineup do yall think SAF will throw out?

Whenever watching ManU play this year, I have always felt their midfield is lacking, and when playing against Barca, that's what will get you beat real quick. Mourinho fielding three defensive mids completely slowed down our attack, but basically negated theirs completely. I'm guessing SAF comes out with a five man midfield of Nani-Fletcher-Carrick-Scholes-Park to try and bust up the midfield passing game before it gets up to Messi and company.

the Knoxville Force, semi-pro team that's part of the NPLS kicks off it's inaugural season tomorrow, May 7, at 7pm at Regal Soccer Stadium in Knoxville.

Knoxville Force lost 2-0 yesterday. The keeper fell down on a corner and didn't get any defensive help and the other score was off a brilliant throw-in.

Regal Soccer Stadium is very nice, it's unfortunate that it's right next to a water treatment plant so if the wind is right you get that open septic tank smell.

I hope he doesn't start Nani. Nani hasn't been doing terrific. Stick Park in there for sure, though. Our defending has to be better than it was in the second half today against Chelsea. I thought we were going to run them out of Manchester, and then it seemed like we just quit on defense. Lampard's header was the culmination of suck-arse defense.

In other news, Glory, Glory Man United. :)

I think Lampard's goal came off his left leg... not his head... did you not watch the game Darth Visor?... i believe United will go with Vander Sar, Evra, Vidic, Ferdinand, and eithere Fabio or Rafael(Rafael if healthy), Valencia, Carrick, Park, Rooney, Giggsy or Anderson, and Chicarito... Should be a great Champions League Final.. Hopefully United can get some revenge from '07 Final

Forgive me, sir, you are correct. I agree with your roster analysis for the CL Final. I am confident that SAF has a few tricks letup his sleeve.

You mean 2009?

I do think it will be a similar lineup after watching this weekend. I would put Fletcher in there too if he can get fit before the Final. Not sure if Giggs hasn't in him to go the full 90 against Barcelona though.

apparently Man City has already lined up several signings that will "blow minds"

Let's start the guessing game.

Need a creative midfielder. I'll say Cesc.

There was a report that they were going after Iniesta, which makes me giggle.
