jones spent time in virginia and maryland on wednesday, checking on five-star junior athlete jaason lewis of ocean lakes high school in virginia beach, va., one of the vols’ early top targets in the 2015 class. Lewis recently has suggested that he could decide on a college within the next few months, and tennessee currently appears to be at the top of his list.

Damn, Butch has gotta let a brotha know when he's gonna be in my town, I could've shown him around town.

If we are going to bring up Heyward, we might as well discuss it.

Surely he'd get a big return, right?

I think it's not gonna be as big as we want, because he may not commit to a long term deal to the potential team. JMO I think he will be a Yankee in the end, and they don't have the prospects...

Organization has some big decisions coming up... Does Fredi get an extension, or a new deal? Fredi not being brought back will probable means we don't play well this upcoming year...

I'm sure they'll bring his dumb azz back

H-back or LB, IMO.

He'll outgrow WR. Apparently he wants to be a RB.

Needs to be OLB all the way for him but he wants none of it from what I've heard. Agree that he just needs to get here and then coaches can figure out from there but, at this point, I wish he was more open to the idea of switching sides of the ball at the next level.

I wouldn't consider trading Heyward without a truly obscene offer. This Win Now window is two years long; after that, they are probably totally fscked for over ten years until the TV deal expires. Therefore I would make no moves at all that don't improve my chances of winning a World Series in 2014 or 2015. I would treat 2016 and beyond as though it doesn't exist.

The other approach would be to try to sell Heyward (and then Freeman) for a boatload of prospects, hope that some of them develop into replacements for the core of this team, and then shift into hope-to-win-with-kids mode as you move into the new ballpark and slog through the last six or seven years of the TV deal. I'm against it. This team has at least some chance to win it all, and you don't pass that up. I'd push all my chips into the middle and take a shot.

Breazy I feel you bro. What a day...

Left out at 3am and got to where I used to live in Ga at roughly 9:30. Buried my grandfather at noon. Left around 4pm I think and just got home a little bit ago. I'm completely spent.

He was my last truly pleasant link to my dad's side and where I used to live. He watched every Braves game he could until he could barely see and instead listened on the radio. He too loathed Frediot. He was a very good man.

I'm sorry bud. My grandfather was like that with the Vols.

Condolences to your family.

That sucks. Sorry to hear it.

Hope he comes back and haunts Fredi's house.
