How will Braves fare without their leadoff hitter for 4-6 weeks? 20 games is the clinch! Will they clinch by mid Sept? I say yes! Even if the Braves play .500 ball t forces the Nats to win all their games. Can't be done!!!!!!!! Braves would have to lose 17 of 20 for Nats to even possibly win. Don't see that happening either. Braves will win their division by at least 11 games at worst. Would be worried about their playoff chances without Heyward.

That is a lot of words and !!!!! to state the obvious fact that losing one player is not going to cause a team to give up a 15 game lead with less than a month and a half left but it will be a problem in the playoffs.

Maybe we can get off topic because it doesn't take us so long to state the obvious
