The guy's head bounced off the ground and he spent two minutes puking on the field. James Franklin ought to be fired for sending him right back out after missing only one play.

I hate Franklin but do not agree with this. Yes, he vommitted but this was also a guy that was battling dehydration and took a hard hit to the stomach. Also the onset of vommitt was much quicker than those associated with concussions. Trainers could pick up pretty quickly with a simple conversation whether a concussion was even a possibility an if further testing was needed

Maybe that's not really on the head coach, exactly, but the team doctor or somebody on that sideline completely ignored concussion protocol. Vanderbilt just risked a kid's brain for football. Anchor down.

We certainly don't have all the facts, but that didn't look like oh I'm winded lemme puke right quick or I just got the **** knocked outta me lemme puke right quick..

To my untrained eye, it looked much closer to idk WTF is going on or why I am uncontrollably vomiting

Trainers were with him talking to him the entire time that he was on the field vommitting and that play off. There was plenty of time to pick up on if a concussion was even a possibility

How about the fact Franklin never looked or talked to the trainers and after one play pointed at Matthews to go back in there?
