So as I’m waiting here to figure out what’s wrong with my work computer, what’s everyone thoughts on the season? Do we have a legit chance at the playoffs? What pieces do we need to add? How much are you willing to give up for deadline help? Will we come crashing down? I think this team can definitely make the playoffs with one more bullpen arm and consistency at third.

I wouldn’t give up a single asset of any reasonable worth at the deadline for a rental. This thing is built for the long haul and needs to continue to be. They’re more than one piece from a WS contending team IMO but they are certainly going to be in WC contention at a minimum, full season.

This offseason needs to be about adding impact players. In the OF/at 3B and at the top of the rotation.

If you can get a starting pitcher with a couple years of control then go for it. Otherwise let’s just ride this thing out.
