I'd take either Trout or Machado and be happy.

The only thing that turns me off about Machado is his OBP. He doesn't walk anywhere near enough. But when a guy is beating the gaps like he is doing it is hard to even complain about that.

Excellent defense is what sways me, regardless of the lack of walks. And that's where I'm divided on Trout vs. Machado, based on Trout as a CF. Which position has more defensive importance?

Gonna go with the left side of the infield on that. Although center is pretty important as well.

There was a budget crisis a few years ago and it looked like the state government was going to shut down. (Or did shut down? I don't remember.) Anyway, UT was on the brink of having to cancel some summer classes, which some of UT's players needed to keep their eligibility. Fulmer started working the phones. "This is not going to affect my football team!" A deal got done.

I know Simmons hasn't been hitting great, but I would say overall he has been at least competent giving you 2 between him and freeman. Your point still stands though
