Weird Tour so far because it's not quite as Good vs Evil as it usually is. Rooting against Contador because he's an ass and Froome for no good reason. Rooting for Tejay van Gaaaaarderen because he's an American even though his huge ego is so obvious that it's off-putting. I like watching the team time trial but man, that 25 seconds has already put some of the guys in a big hole.

Can always root against Contador and Froome but I haven't found a rooting interest for yet bc, as you said, Tejay is just an ass.

Love curling, especially women's curling. There are a few dimes. Tour de France. Not so much. The one sport that dopes more than baseball.. Which impresses me.

My personal favorite:

They do the same climbs every few years in the Tour and all the times are slower now. The doping is way down from what it used to be.

Although if I had to get on a bike in Crossville and ride it to Clingman's Dome, and then do it again every day for three weeks, I would dope like hell too.

He doesn't come as a complete ass, exactly. He seems like he's probably affable enough. You can just tell that he's really, really, really impressed with himself.

He did stand up like a man and own it after he gagged in Colorado last year. At least there's that.

Oh yeah. It's pretty damn amazing what they do.

Winter Olympics always remind me of Cool Runnings

I forgot to tell you how I went to a Taco Mac on Sunday night and the place was completely packed with Normal American People watching Spain and Brazil play in a non-World Cup tournament final. Time to embrace soccer or spend the rest of your life being bitter about it.

No clue if Ben is one of them but there are still some people who like to wear their bitterness towards soccer as some sort of badge of honor.

We were thinking about going somewhere to watch it, the 2 guys i was with are soccer fans. Thats why i asked what that wings place was called. I asked you when we were leaving Lennox, so we were near the one in Buckhead, i assume? But one of the guys really just wanted to get home to his gf, hes whipped.

I'm not bitter about it, but I have no intention on getting into soccer. Ever. I just don't enjoy it enough to follow it. I'm also not offended that most don't enjoy drag racing as much as I do. I can see how others would view it as equally boring.

Amazing to think that that game A) was shown on tape delay, and B) 99 percent of the country (including me) didn't have the outcome spoiled. It was a different world when I was a kid.

Just before my time but it is one of the sporting events that I have spent a large amount of time reading books, watching documentaries, etc. about and that aspect is always so interesting to me. The majority of the country had no clue at the time but then there are also other stories like in DC where the Wilson (coin) Bridge came to a dead stop as people listening to it on the radio got out of their cars to celebrate.

I actually forgot about the match and tried to go to my usual Irish pub over in Buckhead with the family like we always do on Sundays; we got there and it was packed. Would have been a great place to watch it, but too crowded with the kids. We punted and went to Taco Mac instead.

Want to make sure you know about the Ministry song "Jesus Built My Hotrod," which AFAIK is the great song about drag racing ever recorded. This is from the early 90s, back when I was alive.

(Takes a minute and a half to really get going)

That's completely understandable, I don't like every sport ever invented either but I don't get the impression that people who don't like drag racing tell you how stupid you are for liking it. Luckily that is less prevalent now a days for soccer but it does still happen.
