The Atlanta Braves Thread

On Perdomo:

“They were throwing pitchers that had been in Double A and Triple A. 97, 96 mph fastballs, hard breaking balls. With our whole process, I think that’s where we were kind of blown away with the adjustments he was making and the performance, and we said, this is the guy we have to go after.”

MIKE MATTHEWS, WR, (TENNESSEE)

Matthews makes our top performers for the third day in a row and was also runner-up for Alpha Dog. At this point, we don’t have anything new to add about his game. It was the same show he has been putting on all week, elite level athlete making plays down the field and also showing polish and hands running routes in the intermediate part of the field. He’s not coasting or going through the motions like you see from a lot of high end prospects at All-American Games but is taking every rep hard. He’s currently rated the No. 28 player nationally in the Top247

Don’t know how he doesn’t see the field immediately

Easily, EASILY, the most sensitive fanbase in sports. Horns Down is exactly the same as that mock Gator chomp that has been done against UF for years.

They also don't seem to understand that the more they complain about it, the more people will do it.
Grant doing the Gator chomp down in Gainsville a couple years ago was the first thing that came to mind.

Texas blew a 16 point lead in this game. Where's the accountability from the coach? Where's his comments on his players executing his plays, Hes really more worried about a hand signal than the important things.

The only good response to that question is "Hey, if we don't want them to do it then let's win the game." I thought we all learned in grade school that the worst thing you can do when someone is intentionally annoying you is to make it obvious how much it is bothering you.

Also, if they think this is bad. I can't wait until they lost to TAMU or Mizzou in a conference something. Those schools loathe Texas, you know they'll do it.

But **** like this is what makes CFB great, the rivalries and hatred it creates, as long as it isn't taken too far(killing a steer, come on OK ST) then it's all good fun.

Hell, when we play them, I'll do it because they've telegraphed how much it bothers them. If they just let it roll off their backs and it was something only their rivals did, then I probably wouldn't.

Honestly, it is very much a "little brother" thing to do, but if it riles them up that much then it is hilarious.
