we were never hanging 50.

Josh loves Venables and the fans too much to do that. I’ll say this, Sooners defense was pretty darn good too. But we could’ve put up 40 to 50.

You could tell from the jump he knew OU was going to do absolutely nothing offensively. And he was right. Would have liked to see more downfield shots, esp with Venables selling out to stop the run, but Heup is a hell of a tactician.

I still think the 2nd half wasnt as much Heup not wanting to drop 50 on OU as it was
1) The field was atrocious and Heup wanted to avoid injuries
2) They couldnt handle the D line
3) Us having 2 backup tackles playing

The only way we could have lost that game was a strip sack scoop and score. Heup coached to win the game.
