As someone who has followed Vol Nation for years and years but very rarely post, can someone help me understand why there seems to be a desire to be rude like New Yorkers. From Chatt I just didn’t grow up that way. What am I missing? Be as blunt as you want. I’m just curious…

In all fairness, this subject has been worn out several times. If you haven’t cared over the last 2 yrs, why ask the question now.

Today, I’m damn glad he’s at Alabama

Not sure about that player but OP has point about recruiting. We are getting great classes from a "Star" perspective but it is clear these players are not great shooters and can't move the ball around well enough to score and make an impact.

I think 3-4 of our players are 5* but they don't look like. JJJ is a classic example. When I think of how a 5* should look, I think of a Grant Williams, Kevin Durant, etc. type player.

Grant wasn’t a 5 star looked like one but wasn’t. It happens where 3 or 4 stars play like a 5 star. On the opposite side of that some 5 stars play like a 4 star or God forbid a 3 star. It happens.

Grant Williams was a 3* but played like a 5*. Chris Lofton was like that as well. It seems like our lower rated classes have been stronger.

Part of the reason for that is because they stick around longer. KC, Keon, and Springer all played well, but one year only gets you so far. Also, it's not like the current senior class was loaded with blue chips. JJJ was highly rated, as has been constantly discussed, but weren't Santi, ON, and Uros all 3*? Add that we've had so many players depart for various reasons and frankly I think we've played pretty well based on recruiting expectations.

Don’t be so sensitive. All they’re saying is, it’s really easy to get information on a recruit by typing their name in the search bar and going to their recruiting thread..

JMO, I do believe if this murder happened at UT, under the current administration. The player and all involved would be suspended until there was a formal hearing. There are some SEC teams that I think would not suspend a player, even before a formal hearing. First 2 that pop into my mind are Auburn and Alabama that's just how they roll, there may be other institutions that go this route. To me it's not the Institution but who the administration is or whoever is controlling the program. Ultimately, it's a bad look on the University unless you keep winning then all will be forgiven or swept under the rug. If you go on a losing streak the pitchforks will come out. Miller protected them with 40+ points but team struggling vs the last place team in the conference, gives cause for pause. JMO.

Ya think? We dismissed an incoming cheerleader from the cheer team for using the N word. Yea, I’m pretty sure this cat wouldn’t be playing here.

You don't gain a 5* rating by being losey on offense or not being able to shoot the ball.

It's the offense we run or the players are being drained of energy on the defensive side of the ball.

Too much emphasis on the PG position as well. We have the talent we just don't run the right offense to suit the players.

Can we edit the original post to remove the reference of being from Tennessee. Speaking for myself, I'd rather avoid any connection between my home and this kind of individual. He thankfully chose Bama. I'm fine with giving them complete ownership.

I'm no law expert by any means, but isn't supplying someone with a gun (that killed someone) illegal?

Innocent until proven guilty in my book, but I wonder if he's going to catch legal trouble?

Just seems like a really big story! I'm surprised Bama is allowing him to still play considering the culture we live in today where rumors can cancel you immediately
