The Batman (March 4, 2022)

Not dark knight great but great on its own. The 3rd act sort of dragged a little but probably the closest a batman film has been to resembling what is in the comics.

Long but engaging throughout. Overall a surprisingly solid piece of film. Dark in a necessary and real way. Instead of dark for the sake of being dark. Worth seeing for sure.

My wife and I went last night. It was definitely a different take on the caped crusader that previous films. Bruce Wayne wasn't exactly the smooth, debonair, rich guy. It was closer to a psychological thriller/detective movie than previous versions. The cinematography was excellent. My wife said it was her favorite Batman movie yet (she likes crime dramas).

I guess the negatives would be that it's 3 hours long. They definitely could've trimmed a little fat. Robert Pattinson was better than I initially expected but his performance was still lacking at times.

7.5/10

If im not mistaken this movie took a lot of inspiration from the Comic Novel, Batman: Year One. So...this movie is basically him learning to become Batman at the beginning of his journey.

Just came out of the theater! I agree! It was awesome! Robert Pattenson is great as Batman! As Bruce Wayne, not so much. My only nitpick. Thankfully hes Batman the vast majority of the film.
I think it was just a different take on Bruce Wayne. CB’s Bruce Wayne was a social elite playboy who never became a loner until DKR. This version of Bruce was more of a socially awkward recluse who was only interested in avenging his parents.

The Batman is the best Batman film of all time. Get your ass to the theatre and see it now!

My Wife took my daughter to the night show, and it is the most peace I've had in a while. Recommended for men.

I’ve see nothing but praise so far online.

Still I’m having trouble getting excited for it. I’ve read so much Batman and then there is Animated Series and the Nolan Trilogy and it’s hard for me to not say Batman has peaked.

Then the trailer with bullets flying off of him and the Riddler re-imagined into the Zodiac Killer, I just kinda roll my eyes.

BUT I pretty much felt the same way when Batman Begins came out. I only saw it in the theater because my then gf (now wife) wanted to double date with her friend and bf. They picked it so I went. I came out crowning it the best Batman on screen to date.

8.5/10. Loved Pattinson’s Batman. Lulled in a few spots but it was really good. It’s not DK but better than BB/DKR.
