Time for a 3:40 Zak Snyder reboot.I’ve see nothing but praise so far online.
Still I’m having trouble getting excited for it. I’ve read so much Batman and then there is Animated Series and the Nolan Trilogy and it’s hard for me to not say Batman has peaked.
Then the trailer with bullets flying off of him and the Riddler re-imagined into the Zodiac Killer, I just kinda roll my eyes.
BUT I pretty much felt the same way when Batman Begins came out. I only saw it in the theater because my then gf (now wife) wanted to double date with her friend and bf. They picked it so I went. I came out crowning it the best Batman on screen to date.
Horrible, Adam West was a better Batman, and twinkle toes needs to stick with sparkly vampires.
So, basically Michael Keaton has done the best job so far?You probably decided before you watched.
I had it backwards. I figured he'd be a better Bruce Wayne than Bale and that he wouldn't be a great Batman. He was whatever at being Wayne. The job was to be a mopey version of him trying to figure out who he's supposed to be, so that didn't really let us see who he'll really be as Wayne. I thought he was awesome as actual Batman. The voice sounded good and the timing with the dialog worked. The jawline and mouth look right. That's really all it takes and Bale couldn't deliver in those regards.
I thought Bale did a decent job but his over exaggerated voice always annoyed me. My batman motion picture rankings go:So, basically Michael Keaton has done the best job so far?
I think Pattinson is one of the most underrated actors around. He's incredible in The Devil All the Time, Remember Me, The King, The Lighthouse, Life, etc. Always stuck with that Twilight tag though.
I actually haven't watched it, I was just trolling trying to trigger everyone for loving it . Hopefully going this weekend. You probably decided before you watched.

Interesting to see who the villain will be in the sequel. Kinda hope they stay away from joker for a while given there have been 3 different actors playing joker (not counting the one in the Gotham tv series) in the past 14 years. So many great batman villains to chose from. Hush, Hugo Strange, or Deathstroke would be good choices.
will never rival the dark knight trilogy
I know I'm going to get flamed for saying this but while I loved Batman Begins, I think The Dark Knight sequel is vastly overrated! While Ledger's portrayal of The Joker is legendary, as an overall film I don't think it's as good as Batman Begins. There is a lot of cringe in that movie! There's some really bad acting with poorly delivered lines, plus for some reason Christian Bale's Batman voice was hilariously bad. Also, I HATED the scene of Bruce Wayne arriving to the fund raiser, which was nothing more than a shameless copycat scene from Batman Begins when Bruce arrives at the restaurant. Only this time instead of arriving in an expensive sports car with two beautiful supermodels, they just HAD to up the ante by having him arrive via helicopter with three beautiful supermodels. It was so eye-rolling cheesy! Then there's Ne'stor Carbonell's (mayor of Gotham) ridiculous guyliner, LOL! Heath Ledger's portrayal of Joker really hid a lot of flaws in this film. In fact, I'd go so far as to say that Heath Ledger SAVED this film from being terrible.
Regarding The Dark Knight Rises, my biggest issue with that film is the ending. Christopher Nolan absolutely should've had Batman die at the end while saving Gotham! It was the only ending that made sense, given the dark tone of the 3 films and when he had the opportunity to really drive that point home at the end, he pulled the damn punch and instead gave it the typical happy sappy ending where Batman lives AND gets the girl.
You might be right. However one thing Noland could have done is like with his film Inception, leave the ending ambiguous where we didn't know one way or the other. He could've shot the last scene where Alfred is at the café and he just sort of looks off into the distance with a sly grin, as to imply that he saw Bruce, but not show us. Or DID he see Bruce?I doubt WB would have let him kill Batman even if he wanted to.
