I know he isn't a motivated guy on the bench but do you know what happens behind doors? I'm speaking for everyone here, I don't think any of us truly know how he motivates his players. He isn't the type of coach to publicly humiliate a player for playing badly or not playing his way. He will instead put them on the bench and talk to them about it privately.

I'm just saying, there's more that meets the eye.
I respect that part of his style.
I really think he expects his players to be self motivating and when they're not he has no answers. Think that's why they're so much better at home.

I've seen some other ones that seem pretty good. I didn't get to see the one yesterday tho

It was a point in practice where they are just going through the motions of the motion offense, at @ 65% speed, to try to burn it in their brains. Something, tbh, I don't agree with and part of the reason why we look like robots at times when running it. I think they should be doing less of it, especially at half speed. That's not practices always look like. They just should have made sure they had a say in what was shown, or CM should've ramped it up when he knew he was on.

I hope that's not representative of a normal practice. It would explain why we tend to be sloppy in the half court though. If a team is allowed to practice running the motion sloppy, then that's what will happen in games.

Coaches often run offenses and defenses well below full speed just to engrain them, especially with no D. Same for dribbling drills, inbounds plays, etc.
They should have just used other footage and it wasn't timed well with the pathetic showing that looked just like the laziness they happened to show.

Totally different energy today. Glad to see Maymon come alive. Stokes was the beast he should be every game. McRae continues to impress. We need to watch this film and build on it.

That's my thinking they just wanted him to go through it but the videos I've seen. It's always upbeat and going full speed in drills. That's pretty lame either way if they told him to just go through the motions or he just didn't go full speed.
