oh, the true tenderloin from a hog being butchered with home made biscuits and gravy,i haven't done that in years either :) we had downed 6 hogs the last time i done that

and some head cheese, that was made later,it was good, that is a hard one to explain :)

and lets not forget the home made bacon from them either,I don't know if there is still a place that will smoke bacon left or not

and i almost forgot to add in the Country Ham, of course my heart doctor says to stay away from all that :)

i can't believe I left out the Pork chops too lol

Bulls Gap Custom Meat does a good job with bacon.

We need to start a new thread "waking up with Jesus"

Between starting nights at the hospital, and the resulting insomnia related to it, I'd be down to tell everyone that I hope they step on a Lego on a daily basis.

Except you of course. You have a lovely day.

Lived here all of my life besides being stationed in California or deployed.

am i remembering right

forgive me it was the 90s

There is a Quality Inn in Centerville, I'm not sure when they put it in. And then there is an old motel right off of the square, that one seems more likely.

Not a whole lot of options for anything in Centerville. Dickson is really growing tho.

I live on the east end of the county, so Dickson is as far as Centerville for me. I live near where Hwy 100, 46, and 7 intersect.

I love your area

I remember hunting in the rain but I was dry >>>> rock cave sticking up out of the ground

there are even dam beavers there seriously the rodent kind

I hunted beside a beaver pond there and I was blown away by those animals

It's killed lettuce and don't forget the horney heads

i haven't had any horny heads in many a year either and let's not forget the red eye,I was lucky i didn't get pulled over on a trip from the clinch river
up on the Va and Tn line

I had never caught that many on a trip and didn't know there was a limit on them,i bet I had well over 40 of them, they loved a red and white rooster tail lol

lets not forget some fried mountain oysters and bull balls,a little creamy, but still good

and some pork brains with scrambled eggs

yea this hasn't been much of a sushi discussion

but it is some good eats :)

Outside the gate of Hahn AB, Germany, was a little family owned and operated Italian restaurant that made the best lasagna I ever put in my mouth.

Ft. Walton, Fl, a Thai Restaurant called Sir Sandwhich.

Korean chicken fried rice and bulgoghi (sp?) in Supon City, Korea.

Chicken and Lamb schrawmas(sp?) in Saudi Arabia.

Paella from my wife's kitchen.

Black Bear on the grille in Alaska.

But, my most favorite of meals...Yeager schnitzel from any restaurant in Germany.

Pretty tough, but the first thing that comes to mind is Lilikoi Creme Brulee at Mama's Fish House on Maui.

I'm headed to Italy in a few weeks so hopefully I have some new contenders

I had coconut syrup on buttermilk pancakes while in Hawaii and it changed my perspective on life. Also garlic shrimp from Giovannis was exactly as advertised.

One of the best meals I ever had was at Felicia Suzanne's in downtown Memphis. Pan fried veal chop with lump crab meat on top. Fantastic. I guess crab meat seems to be my thing because another meal that stands out is a hamburger with crab meat at a hole in the wall marina cafe around Norfolk, Virginia. The food and gelato in Italy were also memorable.
