my grannies biscuits were only about an inch tall

its funny we got a hardees and everybody goes on about the biscuits

but they don't have a clue

Same here, tiny little things but they would melt in your mouth. She churned her own butter too and the two together were divine.

To have one of my granny's biscuits or homemade apple pies would be my last request. I have never found anyone make them taste close. I haven't had one in 20 years.

Thanksgiving dinners at my mamaws, everything from turkey to soup beans. It was all good. I love dead cow on the grill, but nothing beats old time home cooking to me.

Best red beans and rice I've ever eaten was at a small Pilot truck stop in Harlingen, Texas. Served with sweet cornbread.

Best shrimp po'boy was from a Texaco gas station near Reserve, Louisiana.

It's hard to beat a perfectly grilled prime ribeye or a nice lobster tail. King crab legs, rack of lamb...close seconds. Going exotic: I've had some local Hawaiian fish, bison, boar, and venison that rocked my world. My favorite personal recipes are a macadamia nut crusted Sea Bass with Mango chutney and seared Sea Scallops with a nice wine/lemon sauce.

Full disclosure I'm a server at Peerless, but Peerless legit serves the most flavorful and juicy rack of lamb I've ever had.

Shrimp Tchoupitoulas at the Faded Rose in Hot Springs, AR. They closed the one in hot springs but I think there's still one in little rock.

Last night I went out bar hopping (for my birthday) with my wife and brother in an area of Sarasota called Gulf Gate. It's about 3 streets with dumpy bars and restaurants. Anyway, we ordered a $19 sandwich from a place called Ham Heaven. It had pastrami, corned beef, Swiss, & Kraut. It was insane!

Not the best thing I've ever had but it was pretty damn good after an evening of vodka, beer, & shots.

I have to say that the Fiery Pad Thai (Thai spicy) that I eat at Soi2 is some of the most orgasmic food I've ever eaten.
