PB was hurt because the movie plots sucked.

Moore is helped out because his movie plots were awesome...Octopussy, Live and Let Die, Man with a Golden Gun etc...you can watch those movies again and again.

Sean rocked due to being the original.

But Craig is the most realistic, next to Connery. I mean Roger Moore isnt kicking anyways ass in real life.

Moore is terrified of guns, that is why you rarely see his face when he shoots. Reason, he blinks drastically

I thought PB should have been the Bond after RM. I didn't watch another Bond movie after RM including the PB ones.

I agree, but like you said his scripts after that one were atrocious. I don't think any actor in his right mind would turn down a shot to play Bond, but of all the Bonds, Brosnan easily had the worst scripts to work with

Also, Brosnan was the only Bond for whom none of his movies were based on Ian Fleming's books. Very telling IMO

I've never read Fleming's work, but from what I've heard from those who have, Craig is by far the truest to the books, more so than Connery.

I have/read all the books and shorts.

Craig and Dalton are true to the book version.

Timothy Dalton was great, and was probably the most realistic Bond.

BTW, I didn't really understand the question, and I voted Daniel Craig. Let me clarify:

Sean Connery = Best Bond
Daniel Craig = Best actor to play Bond
