i think the fact that we offered bray last week speaks volumes about where we are with recruiting qbs....if we had a whale on the line already why would we have offered bray?....i do think we will turn somebody eventually but i dont buy that we have yet....not in the least

For what it's worth, I do think JTrain has legit sources... and the best sense of humor of VN to boot!

On the Big Fish, Kiffin has confirmed he does exist, with a smile, according to the audio that Freak posted. That is Kiffin... we have one. Who knows who it is, but it's unlikely to be anyone who would disappoint us. It does sound like JJ, Nuke, and BB recruiting.

To me, the transfer idea makes sense because with the CLK references to a 'whale', I'm not sure HS experience meets that standard. This sounds like a QB who has proven himself in college ball or at least been observed at that level.

If it's a HS player in this year's class, there simply aren't many who rise to that standard.

Are there any super QB's expected to transfer who would not be on an LOI and who could thus enroll at UT this fall? I haven't found anyone. The closet I can get is Nate Montana from ND? He had a slow start at football was buried on his HS depth chart, but he's got the genes. He moved from 7th string at ND to 3rd string. Then, the Irish are burying him on the depth chart with new recruits. He's planning to transfer to a CC and then go back to ND in the spring. Why not sit out the year at UT? Is he a late bloomer?

All speculation....

Well, because we are still taking two QBs in this class if we can get the right two guys. That's why. To the OP -- not to you.

What's everybodys deal with Sab? So he was wrong on Scrogg. Everybody I see has Stone a lock to UT but I bet if he went otherwise everyone would say "he's a kid, can't tell what they are thinking." everyone is wrong occasionally. It happens. Its recruiting. No need to pile on. Heck I thought Marlon Brown was all vol. Would have said "lock" if I posted a lot. And would have been wrong. Its ok to be wrong. I appreciate the info sab, right or wrong. And sad that wannabe Hat is back. Difference in Hat and axion, Hat knows his stuff.

I am starting to believe this is Newton makes sense with offering of Bray. Or someone with only a couple years to play after a transfer. Newton is only one I can think of.

Think about it..If we were to get NEwton he could come in and play immediately while Bray developes for 2 years

I agree with that. It does make sense and there were rumors that he was a silent months ago, if I'm not mistaken.
