The "Big Fish" Quarterback Rumor

Meline is a S and I can't see getting Shaw. Reese is a possibility. I think we land Milton and one other guy in addition to Ambles. Green will be coming in next year in all likelihood. If there is another WR that wants to come here, we will take 4.

That's the way I see it! Just need that QB - then we're off to OL and LBs!

I know he tried to tell teams he wanted to play S but I thought everybody was like" well, thats cool Ted, you'll be a WR here though."

I just threw Shaw's name out there cuz I know we are recruiting him as hard as anyone. But Jose could help draw Reese in as well...

One of the Recruiting analysts on Scout a couple of months ago said that UT is pushing Meline hard and he believes both he and Reese are top 10 on the Vol WR board. We were in Meline's final 3 with UGA and Oregon. Now with UGA pretty much full at WR, I think we have a good shot at him...

I forgot to throw Blake Sims name out there as well...
I keep forgetting UGA is almost full. That is certainly going to impact the landscape. Blake Sims is going to be a DB IMO. He hasn't done anything at WR at camps to impress. I think he starts his career out in the defensive backfield.

As far as Meline goes, I'm not sure where we are recruiting him at. I was under the impression all along it was at Safety. I know he can play WR too and that would be an easier transition IMO. He is going to have to put on a lot of weight to play safety. Needs more weight regardless.

I read somewhere today that the UT staff is sold on Sims being a WR...

Or maybe JB said it last night. Can't remember. I know I read it somewhere...

You may be right, but from all the reports of him playing WR at camps this summer, he didn't look too good.

How many can UGA give this year? They are only at like 17 (I think) right now.

I read back through the Sims thread. Here's an interesting post :):

He also won WR MVP at camp too. I'm fairly positive we want him as a wideout...

I think it's certainly possible we give him his first shot at WR, it's just a benefit really that he's an ath that can excel at several different positions. It's just the buzz around him and the fact that UGA played him extensively at CB that leads me to believe now, after camps have finished that he will end up a DB.

For a WR it is.

He weighs 210 pounds. 300/210 == ~1.4

I am a lawyer and I never played a college sport. I do work out 2-3 times a week, but I'm not a meathead -- I don't take supplements or drink protein shakes.

My ratio is about 1.75, and has been since I was about 19.

Granted, I also don't have arms as long as a 6-6 person...but I just think "pretty good" or "above average" would be more appropriate than "insane."
