Yeah, why not? He writes for Oregon and everyone thought he was Oregon bound taking Tennessee out of the running. I don't recall any rumors about him though. But it could just as easily be him and not Sims.

He writes that it is a guy that he did not think the staff was interested in anymore. We have always been interested in Brunetti. We never really lost interest in the kid and Brunetti has stated that he has had contact with our staff and with Ambles. Brunetti does not fit the description

Why would the staff ever lose interest in Sims? Also, that's not what he said. He said "Tennessee is going after a QB I thought wasn't interested anymore in Tennessee". I just copy and pasted that from his twitter. The quarterback is the one that originally lost interest. Not the staff.

I do apologize, but I don't honestly feel like reading through this entire thread. Did Matt say when he would give us more info or did he just say that post about he couldn't tell now cause of where the kid was at.

I honestly don't know. I think it could be any number of the quarterbacks listed. Sims, Bray, Brunnetti and Munchie all sound like possibilities. I hope you're right and it's Sims though. That or Bray. Heck, if someones off the wall prediction of Heaps come true... even better. I probably want him the most but I am not counting on it being Heaps.

After reading this post again by Matt, Its just says that we are going after him, not anything about him decomitting from anyone. We may be reading way too much into this, I hope not , but we may.

Put the pieces together... the Askew comments on Sims... Matt's refutal of those comments... then him posting what he did, when he did. The fact that he referred to the "rumor having legs..." What else could he be talking about? Nothing else is big enough to warrant this type of thread.

Egg on the face otherwise.

Got to be about Sims.

Being in Matt's position, you only post what you did if its big, real big.

I am thinking it could be Simms. Matt started a thread yesterday about two linebackers in VA who are high on UT. Then he starts this thread and Simms is from VA. Very Interesting.

So assuming this is about a QB, what QB would you most want this rumor to be about (whether decommiting from another school to us or making an initial commitment to UT)?

For me, first tier is:
1. Sims
2. Heaps
3. Bray
4. Scroggins

and second tier is:
5. Rettig
6. Brunetti
7. Newton
8. Rees
9. Legaux
10. Baty
