If its someone like Brunetti even though we need him, I will be pi**ed if this thread got this big and out of control for him. It better be someone huge.

It has to be Sims, since all the rumors about him for some time and the fact that Matt was quick to say it wasn't Heaps, but has yet to say anything about Sims. Sims would be the "whale" that we are looking for in this class and would have a HUGE effect on the rest of our recruiting class! You are doing a fantastic job, Matt.

Just finished reading the thread. I think it has to be Sims. When he said "you will know" if it happens what he means is the visit from Sims. If Sims is deciding to just hit up UT for a game to watch his boy Askew, he is kidding himself if he thinks it can be low profile. The rock will be painted, the fans will prostrate themselves before him etc.

Matt P is finding out how insane our fans are. It can be a glorious thing, it can result in 23 pages of guesses on a rumor thread, it can result in death threats to Crompton.

During law school I was a counselor after September 11th for grieving students. The head of the department asked me why I seemed prepared to deal with the disaster. The sad and honest answer was that I was a student at UT when Peyton lost twice to UF in games UT fans were certain we would win. People did not go to work. My lowest point as a Vol fan has to be UF game 2007 (even harder to swallow than the Nebraska game). Highest point is not the Fiesta bowl, it is thinking I would get arrested but having the cop let go of my sleeve on the field after UT beat Florida in 98 and gathering with Al Wilson and a cigar.

I'm not going to speculate on who it may be anymore than I already have. I will say that you guys are going a little rabid on something that may have been a little more innocent than you are assuming.

I expect that there will be a story when it happens and VN may actually get an exclusive. Purely a guess on my part. I would just stay tuned until then.

at this point from what i hear from my louisana guys munchie is duck country bound. he wasent happy by getting slow played here (and with his sub par showing in camps i cant really blame them) i think the coaches feel like i do, they know he can play, but can he do it when its on the line ALA shaun king.


also sab my dad is an old school UT fan, in his late 50s and i was showing hims ome of the tape i have on munchie and he thought he was watching tony robinson, tony had alot of flaws and confidence issues before he came to UT. and well other that the big injury that turnd out pretty damn well, dickey did an ok job but that could have ben a NC season if he hadnt went down. i dont know how old you are and dont know if you remember back that far. i was just young myself.
