Am I crazy for thinking Camargo is actually the third baseman of the future?

.275/.341/.444 slash line in 138 games, plus defense. Like if Riley put up those numbers as the everyday MLB next year we’d be happy and Johan is only 24.

Agree. Like I’d rather go out and get a bullpen arm right now and let Camargo keep playing.

And IMO, Touki can be an bullpen ace for us at the end of the year, so we may just need one external move. We obviously need to see Phillips as well.

Agree about Touki. Think he’ll be awesome in the pen

Need a lefty. Biddle (SSS) has been solid but lefties are crushing him.

Nats are losing in the 7th, that I do know.

Need to trade Julio for some bullpen help. Release McCarthy and bring up Allard. Sanchez is doing better than McCarthy so I’m okay with holding onto him for now

I think the commentators last night said that Camargo has more RBIs than anyone on the team in the month of June...

2. Put McCarthy in the pen, I’d be okay with Allard getting starts even with his questionable peripherals.

Julio is set to make 11 million next year, with an 2020 option for 12 mil, so he isn’t going anywhere. McCarthy was set to go to the pen before the Soroka DL, and Sanchez won’t hold up.

Long past time to trade Julio. Don’t get peoples affinity for him. He’s middle tier at best. We have 3 pitchers already better than him in Folty, Newk, and Soroka. We have young talent coming up. We could get some help trading Julio

Soroka is on the DL. Right now we need him for game 3 if we win the east. We have for two more years and he still can pitch at a high level, he’s been inconsistent. Nobody is giving up a bullpen piece for a starter with two years team control, they want prospects. He ain’t going anywhere.
