I’m I wrong to think a Power 4 conference champ shouldn’t get an automatic bid (ACC, Big 12 specifically)? I think they should have to be ranked in the top 12 to qualify.

Let’s say Miami somehow loses their next two games. Let’s say Clemson loses their next two games. Clemson would get in the ACC title game (two conference losses compared to Miami’s 3), if they beat SMU they would be 9-4 and you would probably get the AAC winner and Boise in and Clemson out
