Interesting. Have seen Neil's name mentioned for this job. He's got the history. Has anyone listened to his MSU broadcasts? Here's his story:Some info I just saw in the RF.... TN will open up a semi public search, but theyve alraedy chosen the next Radio Broadcast team.
Neil Price will be the guy, and he will select the next crew, Pat wont be back.
Steve Hamer will take over Basketball.
Said Mike Keith, unless he has a change of heart isn't happening, but Neil has been around the program/coaches getting to know them. Also he already works for Learfield.Interesting. Have seen Neil's name mentioned for this job. He's got the history. Has anyone listened to his MSU broadcasts? Here's his story:
On a Fall Saturday in 1991 I was riding with my Dad in his 1985 Ford Ranger. The voices of John Ward and Bill Anderson, the iconic duo that served as the broadcasters for Tennessee football games during my childhood, were pouring out of the speakers. That’s when I was hooked. That’s when I knew what my career path would be.
In the decades since that “ah ha” moment, I have earned degrees from Walters State Community College and Middle Tennessee State University, building off of those degrees by seeking counsel from a network of successful broadcast professionals. That education, along with my passionate pursuit of broadcasting excellence, has allowed me to specialize in painting pictures with my words; conveying the energy and excitement of major college athletic events to listeners through top-quality radio broadcasts. I have represented some of the biggest brands in college sports including Mississippi State University, the University of Kentucky, and the Southeastern Conference.
I mean. Boo would've been helpful in the slot against Ohio StI know we need to stack recruiting classes, supplement with portal additions blah blah blah
But I’m not getting worked up over any transfers. They’re all replaceable. No needle movers
Last year the Vols tried to recruit a player and offered him $50,000. He chose his home state school for the same money and he was a solid starter. I am told that this year that same player will make $350,000. Almost all the $50,000 starting players on his current team had to be bumped to 350,000 just to retain them because of other schools poaching them. This is college football in 2025. This is why many fans will find something else to do on Saturdays in the Fall.
They’ve been working on this for over 2 weeks. Still fighting.
The Colorado draw is real for Boo and that family, this isn’t only money on the bottom line.
Hope the love for TN and faith in the staff is there to get them to stay….along with a very good offer we’ve put in front of them.
