Personally, I'm most impressed by comics who use crutches* sparingly. I'm not saying that stuff isn't funny, I'm just saying it takes a lot more intelligence to make Gary Gulman jokes than it does to make Andrew Dice Clay jokes. Nate Bargatze is my favorite comic right now. He's very dry and he doesn't swear and he pretty much just makes fun of himself and his wife and his kid.

*vulgarity, racial jokes, crowd work, physicality/voices, political jokes that aren't insightful

Nate is good. Just watched some of his Netflix.

He reminds me of Aaron Paul...like what Pinkman did after straightening his life out from Meth.

What are they gonna spend more time on on his documentary? Bigsby or trans jokes? Is he more known as the black white supremacist guy?

Serious question, why would a controversial topic he spent 2 specials on not be his legacy? You haven't explained that yet. You just untimate that it's not.

Talking about it in two specials is not the same as spending two specials on it. If Chappelle didn't crack a trans joke in the second special, the mob could have construed that as a capitulation. It was a giant middle finger to the pearl clutching "allies" of the T community. That's what makes him Chappelle. Nobody is going to control what comes out of his mouth, and f*** anybody that tries. Don't protest when somebody says one trans joke and then label him the "trans-joke guy" because he defends his use of the joke while telling the protesters to suck a bag

Humorless people freaking out over a couple (yes in two specials, but less than 10 minutes of material total) of jokes ought not dictate what his "legacy" is.

Joe Pa had 4 decades of success and Sandusky is his legacy. Like it or not, people are remembered for their controversy. This is how things work

How many trans joke did he tell exactly? Can you provide the actual number in comparison to his other jokes.

And it's not his legacy. You are simply parroting what you heard in some garbage news opinion piece you read or from watching TYT. As a matter of fact you sound exactly like a TYT viewer. Maybe that can be your legacy.
