The cancel culture is getting out of control

Huff came off as triggered by this in my view. When he calls KR a homophobe and then posts a schlocky irrelevant garbled response to my light hearted jab, it means he is butthurt.... about a dumb redneck.... shooting at beer cans. He even broke out his new reddit word of the day "White Knight" to try to paint me as some Kid Rock fan boy. I hate Kid Rock! I've hated him since I was a teenager trying to escape his ear cancer inducing trash songs!

Kid Rock sucks, but he does have a decent sized fan base and, like it or not, that video was front page for long enough to warrant discussion here.

I don't see Huff as being triggered when pointing out that his banning AB products from his "no snowflakes" tour beared mentioning. I think it's ridiculous, absurd, and it feeds into the post 2016 Kid Rock persona which has absolutely exhibited homophobia.

Then when you come in after one poster points it out and imply that libertarians are clutching pearls, you seem kind of triggered. Jmo.

I guess my point is, it's okay to admit that you blast Bawitdaba when heading to work every morning. We're all mostly friends here.

I'll listen to KR on my way to the lake. IDC. This is the thread where I make fun of cancelers, even ones I like. Some people only have stomach for making fun of one side.

Let me guess who thinks my mocking of KR means I'm triggered by all this...

Pop Culture and its values have been problematic my entire life. It is funny that people are just now noticing it with the Transgender/Homosexual content but they ignored content that encouraged drug abuse, sex outside of marriage, divorce, adultery, mockery of religion, bullying of people that are different, cursing, violence, greed/materialism, rebellion against parents, etc.

Pop Culture has always been woke. This has been the case since 1950s or even earlier. Hollywood has always made its name by challenging traditional culture and ideas, notably anything tied to religious morality or family structure.

So now this is what "woke" means to the right? JC, people. So is Kid Rock woke, then? Wtf

That's it, Bud is no longer my buddy. This LBGT filth is being shoved down our throats from every direction. Hit them in the pocketbook so they know we aren't taking this anymore.

Three cheers for saving your cancel culture capital for the most important of all fights...the color of Bud Light cans!!!

You'll read this eventually, I'm sure.

I don't have an issue with making fun of both sides. But you seem to think that one guy protesting against a multi billion dollar beer company is cancel culture. It isn't an equivelant to what SJW mobs have been doing for the last ten years to individuals who they disagree with (actual cancel culture). Kid Rock hasn't doxxed anyone or gotten anyone fired. He hasn't called for civil war against bud light drinkers. He's an idiot who shot at beer cans.

People gonna run out of booze if this is their line in the sand.

Naw, when it comes to alcohol, people always find an alternative to circumvent obstacles of access to it. Brew their own, or go more and more for small-time private and lesser-known brands. Local brands will benefit from this as well. I'm sure I'm not the only one disgusted with creeping LBGT-ism being forced upon the general public, especially those of us who don't want it.

Well thus far I’ve yet to see Bigot Beer in the beer aisle

I still don't understand the problem. It's not like these companies have changed their marketing to full LGBTQ. These campaigns are almost entirely used during pride month, and are rarely seen the rest of the year. There are exceptions, sure, but this appears to be blown out of proportion.

We've have some of our more tolerant posters who feel that they are being imposed upon if they have to even hear about a commercial with gay people on it. Talk about pearl clutching snowflakes.

When is pride month? Is that an actual thing? I’m honestly asking, I’ve never heard of this

That's when you'll see a lot of rainbow advertising. And now you know why. :)
So basically New Orleans but for a month 😂.. I think we will just be doing Netflix that month, hopefully some series comes out we can watch all month 😂.. edit: we will be on a cruise for half of it

Honestly, the way these mega-corporations like to cast their commercials and direct their social media, I would not have been able to distinguish which month was for LGBTQ if I didn't already know.

Are you saying you're going into hiding for pride month (but never even noticed it before)?
