I was unaware of the connotation with using black children as actual bait to catch gators. Now that i do know it I cant unknow it. However I do think the cheer was not actually created with any connection to that history.

Having said that, as a TN fan, they could cancel the whole Gator program for racism and I would bat an eye.

Nah..... none of it has hit that close to home yet but I’m sure it is coming...... The animal cracker thing just constantly makes me laugh at how stupid and useless PETA has become....They literally started a protest campaign against a cage on a box..... The only faux outrage that has bothered me has been trying to cancel the circle game..... I have played that my whole life and still do with my kids.

Yes a lot of history including that one is very sad...... no the gator bait chant is not really that old..... it was started by a black Florida football player in 1995.

The numbers on the sides of their helmets remind me of the old south chain gangs, when the criminals were numbered instead of called by their names, that had to be so demoralizing. Also crimson is a racist color, pink would be less polarizing.

So, question is where are all of these white neo type nationalist racists at..... and why aren't I hearing about their proportionally publicly placed outrage.....because even one of these types would be plastered everywhere.....

If there are these blatant racists, why aren't they out in public fighting their cause and publicly gathering and causing whatever it is they hope to achieve by being out in the public.....

Over the last 20 years any time across this nation an organized white whatever type of group "protested" or showed up anywhere it was front page news.....where are they and where have they gone........

They get off on being across the street from the groups they despise, that has always been apparent and forefront and the racist 101 playbook and want for altercation......

Are they hiding in the shadows and waiting.....

Not being sarcastic or facetious, seriously asking. Because the reality is they always enjoy being very public about their hatred and white pride, that is the very essence of their gatherings and public displays and sheer natural instinct. They believe their message needs to be heard and the whites need to hear about what they have to say.

I find it odd we hear almost nothing about these overtly outward racist warrior types.......

I don't think neo nationalists have had any numbers nor presence for some time. Their message of hate was left behind a long time ago. I know groups exist up in Michigan where I used to live in the upper peninsula but their following was very few.

I know they used to exist, but from what I can tell, these creatures are near extinct.

I just learned of it yesterday but there is enough memorabilia to support that it was a very popular bad joke at best and some reporting that it may have actually been practiced at worst.

Most recent figures I saw stated a total of 11k Klan members across the nation. Add maybe a few thousand uncounted supporters and it’s still just a disgusting blip on the radar, all thing considered. Same with the other supremacist groups. Small groups of extreme loudness that the msm pumps up and boogeymans in order to further the msm racial divide agenda. It’s self serving and self feeding from both the groups and msm sides.

I find it interesting that some are even classified as white supremacy groups and folks buy it without actually seeing the diversity of the group members. Shouldn’t all the members of such a group be pasties? I suppose the white supremacist label is more gasp worthy during news cycles than an appropriate and generic hate group label.

I’m concerned that the longer the current destruction continues unchecked that these groups will begin seeing a rise in interest if they start responding to counter the rioting. It won’t even be from folks that actually support their agenda, just folks that are pissed and will join pretty much any efforts to stop the madness.

The far left may think they want it and be manipulating for it, but I don’t think they’re going to like it once it comes for them.

It doesn't have any possible racial connotations, but one obvious thing I'm surprised "they" haven't come after is Rocky Top. The second stanza talks about the implied murder of government agents going up the mountain, looking for moonshine. I can guarantee you that if somebody proposed making that song associated with UT today, it'd be shot down in a heartbeat.
